Night of 1000 Zoey’s ate. I love everyone who showed up and showed out. You all made my celebration so special and the dress was inspired by this beautiful song. Aquamarine saved me. My 23rd year around the sun started off buried in the most rich soil, sprouting in really turbulent weathers, and she bloomed under the light of the warmest summer🤍 I am so grateful for what has and is to come next :)

finally sharing this personal project that i shot back in April with my besties 🫂

i’ve been wanting to work on something that’s inspired on every place i lived at since i’ve moved so much. i was born in LA but then moved to Mexico at a very young age and came back to the states without knowing any English. i finally got to speak it fluently at the end of 3rd grade. i’ve moved all over LA, from Inglewood, Paramount, Maywood, Pico Rivera, K Town, Mid City, Westlake, etc and I’ve learned that living here isn’t that much different because so many people still speak the language and have the best food. LA is filled with the best Latino community and i’m grateful to have grown up in both places. i feel like my culture has always been erased from me since people don’t really know my background but here is me showing everyone where i come from :)
