You wait your whole life for this moment… and then it’s over in 97 seconds. 🐝🥊

Alex “The Buzz” Bergen didn’t walk into his pro debut just hoping to win.

He walked in ready.

Blessed with the opportunity from @nolanbrosboxing , Alex made the most of it.

All the years in the gym.
All the rounds nobody saw.
All the sacrifices.
All the nerves leading up to that first professional fight.

Then the bell rang…

And The Buzz went to work. 🐝

97 seconds later, it was over.

First professional fight. First professional win. First-round KO.

Couldn’t have written a better beginning.

Huge thank you to Nolan Brothers Boxing for putting on an incredible night at the beautiful Chevalier Theatre.

1–0. And we’re just getting started. 🐝🥊

YOU DON’T JUST SHOW UP ON FIGHT NIGHT AND HOPE FOR THE BEST.

This was us getting Alex “The Buzz” Bergen ready for his professional debut.

Going over the game plan, talking about what we think his opponent is going to do, what we want Alex to do, and making sure we’re all on the same page.

People see the fight. They don’t always see these conversations.

As a coach, this is the stuff I love. You put a game plan together, work on it in the gym over and over, and then you get to see if you were right when the bell rings.

Alex trusted us. We trusted him.

And he got to make his professional debut on a great show hosted by @nolanbrosboxing at the beautiful Chevalier Theatre. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to start his professional career.

Now go back and watch how his debut ended. 😂🥊

🚨 THE FIGHT IS ONLY 3 MINUTES. THE FIGHTER IS BUILT IN THE OTHER 23 HOURS & 57 MINUTES. 🥊

Everybody wants to talk about what happens when the bell rings.

But what about when nobody’s watching?

What you eat.
How you sleep.
How you hydrate.
How you recover.
How you prepare mentally.
And most importantly, who you surround yourself with.

Those things don’t show up on the scorecard.

But they show up in the fight.

Talent matters. Training matters. Skill matters.

But sometimes it’s the things you DON’T think about that end up mattering the most.

The bell doesn’t build the fighter.
It reveals the fighter you’ve been building all day. 🥊

Save this one. Send it to a fighter who needs to hear it.

What do YOU think matters most outside the ring? 👇

🚨 ONE ROUND. ONE STATEMENT. A NIGHT WE’LL NEVER FORGET. 🥊🔥

Last night, @nolanbrosboxing gave us the opportunity to step into the legendary Chevalier Theatre, for one of their legendary events, and what happened next was a moment that will stay with all of us at Sonny’s for a very long time.

Alex Bergen made his professional boxing debut… and ended it in the FIRST ROUND. 💥🥊

But the knockout is only a small part of this story.

Alex is a simple man. No excuses. No need for attention. No shortcuts. He comes into the gym, puts his head down, listens, works, and gives everything he has.

And last night, all of that hard work showed.

When the lights came on, the crowd got loud, and it was finally time to make that walk as a professional fighter, Alex was ready.

First professional fight. First professional win. First round knockout.

You couldn’t write it much better than that.

But what made last night even more special was looking around that theater and seeing how many Sonny’s people showed up for him.

That means more to us than you know.

Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket, made the trip, screamed from the crowd, sent a message, shared a post, or supported Alex throughout this camp.

That is what WE NOT ME means.

Thank you to Alex’s opponent for traveling here, stepping through those ropes, and giving Alex the opportunity to compete. There are two fighters taking a risk every time that bell rings, and that deserves respect. 🥊🤝

And thank you to our team.

The people in the corner.

The people in the gym when nobody is watching.

The people who give their time, knowledge, energy, and heart to these fighters every single day.

We win together. We learn together. We grow together.

Alex, enjoy this one.

You earned every second of it.

But something tells us…

this was only the first chapter. 👀🥊

🚨 WE FOUND THE LOST VHS TAPES… AND SOME OF THESE GYMS ARE NEVER RECOVERING. 😂📼🥊

Ever wonder what Sonny’s competitors would’ve looked like in the 1980s?

Well… nobody asked, but we did it anyway. 😂

Welcome to Massachusetts boxing, circa 1986.

🥊 Mullets with questionable structural integrity
🥊 Mustaches that deserve their own USA Boxing passbook
🥊 Satin trunks pulled up to the rib cage
🥊 Enough gold chains to affect the weigh-in
🥊 Cigarettes somehow part of the strength & conditioning program
🥊 And coaches who look like they could either work your corner or sell you a used Pontiac Fiero 😂

NO GYM WAS SAFE.

And before anybody gets offended…

SONNY’S IS GETTING ROASTED TOO. 🤣

Tag the gym that would’ve absolutely DOMINATED the 1980s.

Or better yet… tag the person who still dresses like this TODAY. 👀😂

WELCOME TO THE 1980s BOXING MULTIVERSE. 📼🥊

🚨 SCAMMER MEETS SCAMMER 🚨

When the internet’s most famous alleged 49er meets Sonny’s very own Nick “The Scammer” Colarusso. 😂😂😂

Daejon allegedly convinced women he played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Nick convinces people he’s going to start roadwork on Monday around the Wakefield lake.

One allegedly faked an NFL career.
The other fakes he forgot his wallet when it’s time to pay for lunch. .

Daejon allegedly had fake investments.

Nick’s been investing in excuses for YEARS. 📈😂

The difference?

Daejon allegedly took $1.3 million.
Nick will scam you out of a protein shake and somehow make YOU feel like you owe HIM money.

Two completely different weight classes.

Same nickname division. 🥊😂

Nick “The Scammer” finally met someone who might be overqualified for the title.

UNDER THE BRIGHT LIGHTS OF SONNY’S BOXING 🥊🔥

The same ring that has hosted New England Championships, Junior Olympic tournaments, International Masters competitions, and club shows belonged to the beginners tonight.

No records. No rankings. No shortcuts.

Just people willing to step outside their comfort zone and test themselves under the lights.

This is where confidence is built.
This is where future champions are born.
This is where the next generation gets its start.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, laced up the gloves, and supported one another. The energy in the building was incredible.

If you’re a beginner looking for quality sparring in a safe, controlled environment, we’ll be hosting more nights like this very soon.

The future is coming… and they’re already putting in the work.

THE NEW GENERATION IS UP AND COMING. LESSSGOOOOO! 🚀🥊
