We just finished reading and discussing Phantasma, and all-around Blackwell is a yes, please! We’ve got a phantom that is tied to a haunted mansion that travels around, and gets people to sign up for deadly trials within.

He’s swoony and has eyes only for Ophelia once he sees her, and is quick to have her complete a blood bargain to help her through the trials.

Happy World Book Day!! Today has been made even better with the announcement of 2 new ACOTAR books with one of them being released THIS YEAR!!! I am so not chill, we are going back to Prythian and I could not be happier!!

Everybody SCREAM! Happy Friday the 13th from this gloriously witchy Anne Boleyn, created by the talented @xena.fay as the first piece of character art for HENRY TUDOR MUST DIE!

This portrait of Anne is largely inspired by the version Natalie Portman portrayed in The Other Boleyn Girl. (I wonder if she’d be game to reprise her role in a HTMD film adaption…) Here, she’s pictured as a queen before the events of the book, which starts on the eve of her execution.

You can see her trademark B necklace reimagined on her bodice, and she’s dressed in the fashions and accessories of a 1500s royal. (Alas, that pesky beheading business requires her to give up her silks and velvets and jewels.) And of course, she’s holding a bloodletting knife, a witch’s tool for turning lifeblood into spells.

Believe me, she has plenty of curses to cast even before her trip to the gallows 😈
