Introducing our next Gent, Xian Scott:

Born and raised in Valley Stream, New York, Xian is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, studying Economics with a concentration in Marketing. Grounded in a deep appreciation for culture, creativity, and community, Xian hopes to use dance and the arts as a vehicle to strengthen connections across the African Diaspora and celebrate the richness of shared heritage.
Since arriving at Penn, Xian has immersed himself in organizations that blend leadership, business, and artistic expression. He currently serves as the Director of Strictly Funk Dance Company and President of West African Vibe (WAVE). In addition, he is a member of the Friars Senior Honors Society and has previously held leadership roles as Internal Social Chair of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, Member Relations Chair of the Wharton Undergraduate Media and Entertainment Club, and Marketing Chair and Project Lead for Black Wharton Consulting. Beyond campus, Xian is the founder of EXDigital Collective, a marketing agency supporting brands and creatives, and was recognized as a 2024 Scholarship Recipient of the Young Caribbean Professional Network.

If selected as the 2026 Penn Gent, Xian plans to donate to The Misty Copeland Foundation, an organization dedicated to expanding access to dance education for children in under-resourced communities. The foundation provides opportunities for young people to engage their bodies, hearts, and minds through ballet while advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the art form.
