💗This account is about you and for you but it is run by a human haha.😂  Hi,  I’m Xiaoling. 🙋🏻‍♀️ Pronounced like show as in shower and then ling.
 This is the name my adoptive parents gave me. I had a different name at the orphanage. I don’t know anything about my birth and abandomnent but I can assume part of it was because of the One Child Policy. I am not in reunion but I’m searching at a distance, physically and emotionally.✨  In this long post, I write about why I began this account, how it’s grown and where I hope it goes.💗  🤗I reference Tara’s podcast, @adoptedbabiesfromchinapod , and if you want to hear my full answer to her question, you can listen at 53:20. It’s National Hiking Day and if there’s one thing these beautiful POC women have taught us, it’s that we can find beauty outside 🏔☀️ Going on hikes can boost bone density, build strength in many areas of your body and improve your blood pressure as well as blood sugar levels. 🙌🏽 Not to mention, it can help your serotonin levels 😌 Go outside. Do something to get your body moving. It’s #worldadoptionday ? It seems a fitting day to also release another episode! Again how long has this day been considered known worldwide? News to me!

Xiaoling is currently on the East coast in the US. She is a wonderful person who I have had the pleasure of speaking with and getting to know over the past few months. Xiaoling talks about her birth date, her connection to her adoption, and how adoption is complex. We also really dive into family and friendships and get really honest about the tough dynamics but also the amazing things about the two。

Follow @xiaolingkeller and her new adoptee account @adoptee_love which focuses on “moments of loving life and self love by adoptees.” Xiaoling created this account after we recorded so it is not mentioned on the recording。
