Update: Party time has been moved to 7-10!

Teachers, this one’s for you. Everyone else, bring cash.

Thursday, Oct. 29, we’re taking over Xicha Brewing from 7 to 10p.m. for Teacher Appreciation Night. No school Friday, so you can actually stay.

Here’s how it works.

If you teach: show up. Say you teach. Check the bucket at the bar. Odds are good someone already bought your first drink.

If you don’t teach: buy a drink token at the bar. Hand it to a teacher you know, or drop it in the bucket and we’ll get it to one who needs it. That’s it. That’s the whole system.

Jon Chinburg is bringing a live band for karaoke. Pick a song. Grab the mic. Duets count.

Xicha Brewing, 2195 Hyacinth St. NE. Free to come. Part of Salem/Keizer Brew Week.

Presented by Advantage Heating & Air Conditioning.

Tag a teacher who’s earned this. Then go buy them a drink.

Good wine, incredible food, and comunidad. 🍷🫶
Day two of Latino Makers Food & Wine Convivio brought us together at The Ground at Stillwater in McMinnville to meet the makers, hear their stories, and celebrate their craft. With music filling the space and something delicious around every corner, there was plenty to savor.

Gracias to the chefs, winemakers, artisans, and everyone who showed up to make our first Convivio so special. We hope you left with a new favorite wine, a connection, and a reason to keep supporting Latino makers throughout the year. ✨

Thank you to everyone who came out for our meetup in Salem last night!

@rarebird_mike got really honest about the ups and down of the industry and the tough lessons he learned along the way. We walked away better equipped to make smart moves in this market and how to hedge against what’s to come.

Thank you to @xichabrewing for hosting us, and to our sponsors @ferryinsurance and @spraynet_willamette_valley for your help and hype!

Next up: we’ll be in Newberg on October 29 for Deal Analysis night. Hope to see you there!

Day two of our inaugural Convivio brought us to The Ground at Stillwater for the Grand Tasting! 🎉

Seven wineries, seven chefs, and two artisans brought their wine, food, and art to the Convivio. Guests got to meet the makers and hear the stories behind their work, while Pachanga’s live music and beats by Adan kept the celebration going. What a way to close our first Convivio weekend!

Thank you to every maker who participated and everyone who came out to be part of Convivio. Our hearts are full. Official weekend recap coming soon!
