🇿🇦🇵🇪 Friendship Through Tourism | Skål Pretoria x Peru
What a special way to begin our journey to the 85th Skål International World Congress!
Before heading to Nelson Mandela Bay, we had the privilege of attending a B2B Networking & Cocktail Reception hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Peru in South Africa and Skål International Peru.
It was wonderful to support our dear Skål Cusco President Elizabeth, assist in extending invitations to our tourism network, and connect with more of our Skål Peru family, including Skål Lima. We were also joined by members of our Skål Pretoria committee and club, our friends from Embassy Direct Africa, and tourism colleagues.
We learnt more about beautiful Peru and discovered just how much South Africa and Peru share — rich cultures, incredible landscapes, warm hospitality and a deep pride in our heritage. 🇿🇦🤝🇵🇪
We are incredibly proud to be a twin club with Skål Cusco and even prouder to be part of the global Skål International family.
A beautiful start to an unforgettable Congress journey.

🌍🇿🇦 A SPECIAL WELCOME TO OUR INTERNATIONAL SKÅL FAMILY! 💙🤝

Skål International Pretoria is incredibly honoured to welcome our dear Skålleagues from across the world to South Africa! 🇿🇦

A very special welcome to our friends representing:

🇵🇪 Skål International Cusco @skalcuscoperu @elizabethshuperu
🇹🇼 Skål International Taipei @spalady_windy
🇲🇽 Skål International Mexico @skalmexico @gonzalo8845
🇮🇳 Skål International India @valmikiharikishan

What makes this visit even more meaningful is having our international Skål family with us during South Africa’s Heritage Month — a time when we celebrate the cultures, traditions, people and stories that make our beautiful country so special. ❤️🇿🇦

This is what the spirit of Skål is all about: friendship without borders, meaningful connections, shared experiences and doing business amongst friends.

As we come together ahead of the Skål International World Congress in Nelson Mandela Bay, we look forward to strengthening old friendships, creating new ones and sharing a little of the warmth and hospitality of South Africa with our international guests.

From all of us at Skål International Pretoria:

Welcome to South Africa. Welcome to our beautiful country. Welcome, Skålleagues! 🇿🇦🌍💙

🌍 Friendship, Fellowship and Future Collaboration in Nairobi

It was an honour and a privilege for SKÅL Pretoria President Thabang Rapotu to be hosted for a wonderful lunch by SKÅL Nairobi President Umberto, Vice President Rose Gatanyu and Deputy Regional Director Liz Tapawa.

President Thabang was accompanied by fellow SKÅL Pretoria member Xima of Zurela Travel.

Meaningful discussions are now underway regarding the possibility of establishing a twin-club partnership between SKÅL Pretoria and SKÅL Nairobi—an exciting opportunity to strengthen friendship, collaboration and tourism connections between our two clubs and countries.

We were later joined by Kelvin Rukenya, Founder of Meet Nairobi, and were also honoured by a special visit from Ambassador Dominic.

Thank you to our SKÅL Nairobi family for the amazing lunch, thoughtful gifts, warm hospitality, laughter and genuine friendship. What a memorable day filled with networking, fellowship and exciting possibilities for the future!

🌍 SKÅL Pretoria Connecting in Nairobi!

SKÅL Pretoria President, Thabang Rapotu, together with Xima of Zurela Travel and a valued member of SKÅL Pretoria, attended the two-day Spotlight TravelExpo Workshop in Nairobi.

It was wonderful connecting with our fellow Skålleagues, SKÅL Nairobi Vice President Rose Gatanyu and SKÅL Nairobi Committee Member Sonali Sumaria, while strengthening the bonds of friendship and tourism across our clubs.

Congratulations to our fellow Skålleague Derek Houston, owner and organiser of the Spotlight workshops, on another successful event. Well done to everyone who participated and contributed to two productive days of meaningful connections, collaboration and business opportunities.

Head of the Bay… 12km of the beautiful Bay. Rowing between Big Ships, Tug Boats, things that go Thump, and a whole lot of things that we would rather not mention. Mission Accomplished. Today was a good day to be a Winner💪🏽💪🏽#rowingmum #VLRC#DRC#HeadofTheBay
