4 practices that is progressively and silently hindering your hair growth, hair retention and reducing your hair volume!

1. Constant manipulation
No long talk, just learn how to keep your protective hairstyle for quite a long period of time 3-4 weeks if you have very fine hair and 8 weeks max if you have thicker strands of hair. I personally would not recommend you keeping your hair for 3 months because I have noticed that your hair by it self will most likely get tired of it mainly because even if you care for your hair as much as possible there are some things you can't do that'd reach each single strands that are needed for renewing shaft strength leading to premature shedding during takedown process

2. Over styling
We normally put our hair in protective styles to prevent having to work on it every time and over styling our hair has the same ripple effect on the hair strands causing premature shedding.

3. Not keeping a simple constant haircare routine
Keeping a consistent haircare routine is more important than you can imagine because your hair is more sensitive than you think so changing your hair maintenance product, routine, maintenance time frame unnecessarily is not going unnoticed and your hair will notice it with time.

4. Not trimming your damage ends in the name of retaining your length
Your hair should be trimmed when you notice damage in your hair for example fairy knots, colour discoloration at the tip of the hair, visible heat damage, split ends and texture change.

5. Continuous high buns
Having your hair packed up tight continuously especially is damaging your hair because it puts so much tension on your scalp by pulling every strand of your hair far up to the middle.

There's is one problem I've always prayed to God for...😂😂

In the month of May 2024 I took a very tough decision to cut off my relaxed hair and start my natural hair journey.

Because of my vision I had to start learning about what the human hair in totality truly is and the pros and "cons" of choosing to go natural.
I have found out that choosing to be a natural hair girlie is not as hard as natural hair content creators and random afro girlies make it out to be.

...that problem is having too much natural hair for my hair to handle!
In lieu of this, I will be sharing pictures of how my hair was, my journey, actions, tools, and products that has simplified my long wished problem and waist length hair dream!

I have been getting comments on how full, long and beautiful my natural hair is, but this is just the beginning of the journey for me!

If you have the same goal or you have one hair problem or the other make sure you keep in touch by engaging in my post so I can get you to achieve your hair goals too!

10 things I have learned this year!

1. Procrastination is not just a thief of time but a thief of achievements.

2. You never know because you never tried to not because you are bad.

3. Progress come from a place of positive repeated habits not just "TRYING".

4. You have to be prepared. If you don't know what an opportunity looks like you will not know when there is an opportunity for you.

5. If you are not ready to help yourself nobody can help you.

6. If you are not yet standing by yourself, work on yourself and do not try to pull people up. You have to be on a stable ground to help. Trying to help when you need help yourself can further ruin things.

7. Regret is a thief of time.

8. Thinking in one direction will restrict you more than you can ever imagine.

9. Be AUDACIOUS, and treat yourself with uttermost regard!!!

10. Be grateful to God for life!
