50 in a bit…

Day 6

So the Bible says that on the 6th day, God said “let us create man in our own image, after our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing.” - Genesis 1:26!

Today I am reflecting on the “little people” God has blessed me with. My children! The ones made in my own image and likeness. If you’ve ever seen my kids you’d know that God made them in “my likeness”! A trait of the Oladehin clan is that our kids look a whole lot like us! #noDNArequired

I am grateful for the smart, intelligent and kind children God has blessed me with. When I look across all of them, there is none for whom my heart doesn’t swell with pride or melt with compassion. Indeed when the Bible says in Psalm 127:4 that “children are a heritage from the Lord and the fruit of the womb is a reward”, it isn’t a cliche. I am grateful for the ones God has blessed me with.

They always say that you can’t “chose the family you come from” but you can mould the one you find yourself. I hope and pray that my kids would look at my life and be proud of who their father is. I pray that they will be better men and women than me. I pray that they will fulfill destiny and break barriers real or imagined! If you love me, you’d say a big Amen here.

So ask I look forward to the future - I look with pride and anticipation… to hearing good tidings from far away and to celebrating big wins with the kids.

Kiks, Semi, Tumiliscious and DedOLD… today is for you guys. I love you more than life itself.
