Sick season is upon us, and these are just some of the secret weapons I swear by. I keep these nearby and as soon as I start feeling the slightest bit of sickness, I start taking these immediately and often!

we must protect the nose + throat!! nose + throat sprays are a great way to reduce the chances of our little ones getting sick + also help alleviate symptoms when they ARE sick!!

the nose is the gateway to the respiratory tract + it’s our first defense.

those tiny little hairs + mucus inside the nose trap dust, pollen, bacteria + viruses before they get into the lungs. the nasal passages also warm + moisten the air that goes through, which makes it HARDER for germs to thrive! this is why nose breathing is SO important! so if your little one’s nose is dry or clogged, it can’t do its job.

my FAVORITE by far are xlear + beekeepers naturals + i have been using them for YEARS!

xlear nose spray 👃🏻
• contains xylitol + saline. xylitol makes it harder for germs to stick (think cooking spray on a wall!) + helps break up the sticky shield they build around themselves to hide from the immune system. it also keeps the nose moist + hydrated so it can do its job!

beekeepers throat spray 🐝
• contains bee propolis, which bees use to coat their hive + keep germs out! it coats the throat to help prevent germs from attaching! + soothes sore, scratchy throats too!

• my kids LOVE it. as soon as i get it out of the cabinet, my boys come running up with their mouths open like little birds. my middle son will give me a thumbs up + say “mmm.” it tastes good + it’s fun!

how i use them
• i spray both before + after my boys go to school, when we are in big crowds (especially indoor kids places!), + when we travel. i have the adult versions too, so i make sure i spray my own nose + throat! mama can’t be taken out too!😅

This is a great tried and true regimen for kiddos walking with congestion and snot noses meaning a viral illness or allergies or weather changes etc

@xlear nasal spray is amazing, every household should have this stuff! It’s great for illness prevention during sick season too!

@greencompassglobal immune bloom jellies have been a staple in my house for years. I give my kids 1/2 jelly daily during sick season (okay for any kid who can safely chew a jelly). If not already using them you can also add them in during symptoms for acute support!

And last but not least, @supremenutritionproducts Acerola is a great vitamin c option for kids (and adults!). For kids 1+ start with 1/2 dropper daily.

Then I’d reassess daily if I needed to add or change it up but this is a great starting point for holistically managing colds with congestion/snot etc.

The change of seasons is beautiful — but my nose doesn’t always agree. 😂
