Sometimes the seeds you plant come back and water you right when you need it most.

Last week I told Jayla I had a Women Making History event at City Hall, and baby girl showed up just to support me. She even thanked me because of all the power in the room and told me to keep sending her the invites. Watching her face light up when she realized the OMG Girlz were in the building and seeing Tiny there too was priceless. I told her, “Go speak, baby.” And thank you Mrs. Harris for taking that photo with her; the smile on her face filled my heart in a way I can’t even explain.

And the magic touch of the day? Looking around the room and seeing my hardworking friends there too. The hugs, the laughter, the genuine joy of seeing each other, it was something beautiful to witness.

The lesson in it all: always put your mentees and children in rooms that can shape them into future difference-makers. Someone once did that for me… and that’s exactly why I’m here today.

Thank You for Making History at the 9th Annual Tutus & Tennis Shoes Gala 2025

We are beyond grateful to each of our presenters and honorees who poured their time, wisdom, and hearts into making this year’s gala truly historical. Your presence reminded us all that giving back is more than a moment, it is a movement.

In these unprecedented times, love and service are not optional; they are necessary. Our girls, our communities, and our future are watching. We must continue to be the living examples of change, showing the next generation what it means to rise above challenges with grace, to lead with compassion, and to stand together in unity.
Let’s keep building bridges, planting seeds of hope, and creating pathways for those who will come after us. The legacy we leave is not just in what we achieve, but in the lives we touch and the love we give. 💜

From tutus to tennis shoes, they twirled, posed, and showed OUT on the runway!

Pure magic, pure vibes, pure confidence.
