Wow! What a weekend!

“Even if you’re little, you can do a lot” (Matilda)

Averie and Stella have worked so hard on Naughty for the last few months and yesterday at @versastyledancecompetition, they won the Judge’s Choice Award and 1st Overall in their Novice Musical Theatre Category. The podium was so big and they are so small but they showed us what they can do when they work hard and share their love of performing with the audience and show up as a team together. We couldn’t be more proud of their first dance comp season

Thanks so much to @kirkwoodacademy and @kirkwoodteacherbev for your support and awesome choreography skills and believing in our girls doing quite a complex medley song

Thank you also for support from @lanasnepomuceno for helping nail their storytelling! And my Dance Mom partner @xoxocmp couldn’t have done it without you!

It was the icing on the cake that they got to take home 1st Place Overall for Large Group Novice Musical Theatre for I Just Can’t Wait to be King on the same day

Just down the road from Nanaimo, in 📍Parksville BC

What a perfect way to get a break from our busy lives of adulting!

Appreciate all the support @kirkwoodacademy and Bev has given to the girls as they bravely enter this dance comp season. We are in awe!

And shout out to @xoxocmp, my duet Mom. May we one day know what on earth we’re doing…

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers in my life who do their best every day to show up for what can only be the toughest job there is. To my mom, my sisters, my grandma, my step mom and the many great friends I have with little ones… I’m amazed by all of you. And today I’m very proud to say I have mommy issues and you’re all my mom.

Happy International Women’s Day to the most incredible women I have the privilege of loving. You are entrepreneurs, athletes, mothers, sources of wisdom, shoulders to cry on, and arms that always lift me up. Your grace and kindness inspire me in every aspect of my life. Thank you for being you.

As actors we become so bogged down with rules that we lose the spontaneity and joy of acting. Great career and great performances are created by artists who break rules and invent their own. Imagine how you'd like to do your work. And do it. See what happened when you set your acting
free.
