Repost from our publisher @artaviusveasey

Shoutout to the amazing and super funny @xp3erynce for reminding us on how far we’ve come with ARTist Feature. For a lot of our new followers, ARTist Feature started out as a interview column on our organization @iamartcampaign website back in 2016. Now coming up this summer will mark 2 years that we have been officially a magazine. We’re so proud of of journey. This is what trusting the process looks like. Everyone is not going to see your vision and that’s fine. The vision was given to you, not them. You have to make them see it with creating it and making it something tangible. Always BELIEVE in Yourself and your craft. You have to nurture it like a baby literally and adjust as it grows and expand. We have so much in stored for the magazine and I AM ART Campaign we can’t wait to share. But thank you guys for all the love and support, both new and old supporters. You guys are amazing 🙏🏽

Trust The Process!!! The vision for @iamartcampaign launched in 2014 when I was a undergrad art student at @memphiscollegeofart pursuing my bachelors degree in graphic design. I got tired of seeing artists beating themselves up and not feeling like their ART was worth it. I AM ART is an affirmation that announces to the world that YOU ARE WORTH IT AS AN ARTIST! Your ART matters despite what art form you associated yourself with. I wanted to do something different for ARTist. I wanted to create something that showcased them more effectively. Every art show or event I went to I always saw the WORK of the artist but not the ARTIST behind the work. So I created ARTIST FEATURE where I showcase the artist behind their work and get to know what’s the life like of an artist or creative. What inspired them to get in their art form and what are some of the things they like to do and lessons they’ve learn along their creative journey and personal life. THATS WHERE THE POWER IS FOR THE ARTS! It started out as a interview column on I AM ART website back in 2016 and now its a full magazine going on 2 years this summer @artistfeaturemag . All of us have unique upbrings and stories that could inspire and empire people way beyond the creative expression. That’s why I go so hard for my ARTist. We ALL have a seat at my table and it’s enough room FOR ALL OF US TO SHINE. We don’t compete over here! We support and celebrate each other! We all are family no matter where we come from. If you’re a part of the ART Community we’re family! I LOVE YOU GUYS FOR REAL!

ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF BECAUSE I KNOW I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Take Care,
ARTavius Veasey
