What an amazing 2 days of Track & Field at the 24th annual Music City Track Carnival. We saw four of our professional meet records tumble at @leeutfxc

1️⃣ Sam Blaskowski 🇺🇸 scorched down the straightaway at the Ray Conn Sports Complex to clock a wind legal (1.8 m/s) 9.89. Not only was it was a massive PB, a facility record, and a new meet record. It is tied for #2 in the World so far this year and is a U.S #1. 🔥
Sam become only the 13th American to go sub-9.90 in the last decade.
Only convicted doper 💉Marvin Bracy has ever run faster on Tennessee soil.
Blaskowaki also becomes the fastest white 100m runner in history! 🤯
2️⃣ We saw an amazing finish in the 110m Hurdles final that’s saw only 1/100 of a second separating the top 3. Our friends at @xpress_timing teased apart this trio and John Adesola 🇿🇦was declared the winner by 1/1000 of a second, clocking 13.25 (13.234). That lowered his PB by 0.03 and now puts him #3 on the South African all-time list.
Devin Wilson 🇺🇸 and Rasheem Brown 🇰🇾 also went under the old meet record of 13.31 set by Freddie Crittenden in 2022, and for Brown it was a PB by 0.20 and a new Cayman Islands National Record!
3️⃣ On Friday night, Gulveer Singh 🇮🇳 gave the Lee University track its first ever sub-4 minute mile. Not only that, he beat Canadian Nate Brannen’s 12-year-old meet record of 3:55.65, clocking 3:55.63, which we believe is a new Indian National Record (as the current mark of 3:55.41 set by doper Parvej Khan 💉will be removed).
4️⃣ Tyra Gittens-Spotswood, who attended high school in Tennessee at @ensworthschool sailed out the 6.76 (22’ 4 1/2”). That eclipsed the meet record set last year by Sydney Willits and ranks her #19 in the world of far this year. It’s also the 4th longest jump ever on Tennnessee soil.

2025 was a year of building, growth, and moments we’ll always remember. ❤️

We watched Midwest Timing go from an idea into something real. From getting started, to investing in new equipment, to showing up at events and doing the work—this year laid the foundation for what’s ahead. We had the opportunity to time races, be part of major meets, and continue learning what it takes to serve athletes, coaches, and communities the right way.

As a team, we traveled to Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, helped host the Nike Twilight XC Meet, and the Nike Regional XC Meet—opportunities that pushed us, inspired us, and reminded us why we love this sport and this work! 🏃🏃‍♀️

Beyond the events, 2025 was about people! Monthly family nights, team memories, and time spent together outside of competition mattered just as much as race day. We also made time to travel—whether it was a cruise, a Disney trip, or moments in between—creating balance along the way.

And in the middle of all the growth and travel, life gave us our biggest blessing yet—finding out our MWT family is growing! Baby Avery made is appearance on THE BIGGEST day of the year for Midwest Timing. 2 major meets totaling 8,000+ athletes, and he showed up that morning! 😅

We’re grateful for every athlete, coach, event director, partner, friend, and family member who trusted and supported Midwest Timing this year. 2025 was just the beginning—and we’re excited to keep building.

On to 2026!
