creative directing a campaign for @xtra.med1um
videos, posters, & lies

my first fashion studio shoot: heavily inspired by old jazz concert films- specifically the Jazz Icons series. the clip taken is from Dexter Gordon’s (the best) performance of Backstairs in the Netherlands from ‘79, knew instantly i wanted to replicate the dense editing/shooting style from those old videos. long zoom outs, split screen, peculiar out of focus framing. for Jazz Icons specifically check out Dexter Gordon Live in ‘63&’64 unbelievable playing n groundbreaking footage. ive stolen everything from there & countless others on youtube

music featured:
A Night in Tunisia - Dexter Gordon
Nuit sur les Champs-Élysées (take 3) - Miles Davis
Funky Rhyme, Funky Style - London Posse
