Meet Alex Williams. You might have heard the genius guitar stylings of @axe_williamsmusic, on tour with @iamhollyn, @iamtrevordaniel, and @brycevine.

"My first concert was Stevie Wonder when I was a year old," he said. "So I guess since birth, music was destiny! I started playing drums at age three. My grandfather was a blues drummer and my dad plays bass. I would sit with them while they jammed on blues tunes so I was immediately exposed to many music pioneers. My parents took me to see the Funk Brothers and Tower of Power and even met BB King and his band in Germany on his farewell tour. From blues, rock to hip hop, so many great African Americans pioneers contributed to shaping my musical experiences. I loved learning and playing the music of Paul Jackson Jr, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Tom Morello, Vernon Reid, and Ernie Isley. They motivated me to pursue a career in music. Now as a touring/recording musician and educator, it is incredibly beautiful to see how diverse music is as a whole. Music, particularly guitar, has taken me to places I never could have imagined and I am just so grateful for where this journey has taken me. I just want to make sure I pass on the gift of music as much as I can. My wife and I, in addition to our music school (Allegra Music Academy), started a music education foundation called the Go Further Music Foundation. I just want to ensure that through every note I play and every lesson I teach, I’m doing my part to leave the world a better place than we found it. That’s the gift of music."
