📸 P3rs0n4Z3r000.

The same body built to be desired now appears weary, altered, defeated by its own excess.
After excess, there is no rebellion left. What remains is structure. Bodies built to be seen continue to exist without a gaze. The self has been lost. There is neither beauty nor ugliness: only remnants.

Exploring the consequences of constructing the body as an object of desire, this collection analyzes identity as performance. The collection presents figures that have survived overexposure, cosmetic interventions, and the constant search for approval. Through an aesthetic marked by excess, horror vacui, and three-dimensional experimentation, the project merges sculptural language and textile design to reflect on the erosion of the contemporary body. Corsetry, sculptural volumes, and elements of accumulation become symbols of control and wear, capturing the physical and emotional remnants left behind after pursuing unattainable beauty standards.

“Raised to Be Seen” Notes on Beauty as a Procedure by Y4r4s. draws a direct parallel between the historical figure of the dandy and the modern influencer. Approaching contemporary influencer culture through a critical and satirical lens, the collection treats constant exposure as a performance. Silhouettes utilize exaggerated hourglass shapes, emphasizing the bust and hips through padding to reveal normalized artificiality. Built around a nude color palette spanning trend analyses from 2016 to 2026, the pieces incorporate essential elements of corsetry and lingerie. The final garments analyze the contemporary image-production system, exploring bodily control, commercialized sexuality, and the body as a product.
