🖤 SINISTER: THE LINEUP 🖤

Honey & Heidi went digging through the underground and came back with @ya.ssi.ca.

The Gays, Weirdos, & $Werkers… Dressing up,Bunnings runs & scaring the sh*t out of boring people… these are some of her favourite things and there is truly no better time for them to come together than Hallo-freakin-ween.

Being a qu33r, ass shaking weirdo herself, the only thing she loves more than gagging the masses is teaching ‘the Man’ a thing or two and putting him in his place.

Along her journey in the world of the $W industry, performance, and humanitarian advocacy she has learned how strong the bond between them are. She believes that as a collective we are the political movement that will change the world and we will look damn fine doing it.

She invites you to scream at how awfully terrifying and undeniable sexy she is. And trust me she will make you scream.

Catch Yassica at SINISTER — an underground qu33r Halloween party for the freaks, the weirdos and everyone who likes their nightlife a little darker. 🕸️

What does TURAK mean? 💛 🤪

Firstly, I want to thank @sabrina.pereiraa for helping me behind the scenes of this song. I sat with her and asked what goes into a Baile Funk track, and I quickly learned it’s more than just the music. We talked about Brazilian culture, favelas, the funk movement, regional influences and misconceptions. I always knew Philippines had an overlap with Latina/o/x culture, but beyond the memes, there’s a deep connection, one that acknowledges the birth of a culture embedded in resistance. So thank you again for being the best consult! I know it’s probably not an accurate representation of Baile Funk, but I do hope the influence is heard, and the respect and admiration is felt.

Secondly, I want to thank all the cast and crew who made this weird little vision possible. I was literally staring at my backyard and was like… yeah I reckon I can get some cretins in here to be strange with me 😂
So thank you everyone for dressing all the way up and showing all the way out. TURAK KAYO! 💛
