It was a great honour to screen Sing to the Wind among a powerful selection of films about the genocide in Gaza at the 2026 Toronto Palestine Film Festival, thank you so much for having us @topalestinefilmfestival !!

Thank you to all the family and friends who travelled far and wide to support these films, and to the rest of our team who were with us in our hearts in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

We’d like to express our gratitude to all the filmmakers for sharing these deeply human stories. It was a tearful and heavy viewing, and this should remind us that we are not alone and that we when we join hands, we give each other the strength and hope to keep fighting for freedom for all people.

(All the films are still available to watch online until October 9th!!)

Such an honour to have screened Sing to the Wind at one of Canada’s oldest and most vibrant animation festivals!

@yaf_artist & @beachbunnii_ & @flipfawn have been attending OIAF for years as animation students, and this was a very emotional full-circle moment as we graduate to professionals.

Thank you so much to the Ottawa animation community and @ottawa.animationfestival for helping us bring this film to a wider audience, and highlighting the vital role that art plays in giving us strength and purpose, and bringing us all together to resist oppression.

SING TO THE WIND is now OUT on YouTube and Vimeo (links in the bio)!

We decided to officially release the film today, May 15th, Nakba Day.

“Nakba” means “catastrophe” in Arabic.

In 1948, 750,000 - 900,000 Palestinian men, women and children forced from their homes, many of them and their families live in the Gaza Strip.

A 2nd Nakba is being live streamed as we speak.

Since October 2023, 1.9 MILLION Palestinians (90% of the Gaza Strip) have been displaced from their homes, some 10 times or more.

Today marks 78 years of occupation.

As Palestinian experiences continue to be ignored and worse, erased, we felt we had to contribute to telling a story that needed to be seen and heard.

Sing to the Wind releases TOMORROW on YouTube (link in bio)!!

DIRECTOR’S NOTE:

This film is about more than the art itself, and we are so grateful to be able to contribute to the conversation about Palestinian experiences in this way, from the perspective of the ultimate innocent that is children.

Children have been the main victims of this genocide. The story is told through the eyes of a child, and shows how innocence and childhood are brutally stolen and lost forever. Children also have mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, grandparents, families and friends. They’re part of communinities who just want to live their everyday lives like us.

We also wanted to express the emotions related to the utter negligence we, as a global community, have shown especially towards Palestinian children. We hope this film contributes to the re-humanization of a People displaced, oppressed and in the process of being completely eliminated.
