Join us for a showing of the documentary film First Frames! The film follows photographer and Syrian refugee Serbest Salih and his mobile darkroom that brings photography education to overlooked communities across Turkey, where children contend with access to school, memory and displacement from devastating earthquakes.

The documentary unfolds almost completely from the child’s perspective. They speak about their friendships, curiosities and frustrations while engaging with photography for the very first time. The children become collaborators in the documentary, capturing their worlds through their unique filming.

First Frames will be shown on Thursday, August 20th from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.

Get your tickets now at the link in our bio.

Ilie Mitaru: Director/cinematographer
Zeynep Bilginsoy: Producer
Luke Boelitz: Cinematographer
Yalda Mostajeran: Editor

Another Katsu in the books! 🏢🎡✨️

I emerge from my post-con hole to post a selfie dump/writeup. 🥰 This year was a lot of fun- I feel like it wasn't quite as crowded as usual. I'm really happy with the pics I got and that I was able to see everyone I did! Shout out to The Girls/my amazing roomies- you make it all worthwhile. 😭💖 The Yugioh meetup was a highlight as usual, and running around as Anastasia was a lot of fun! I loved feeling like a pretty princess. I hope everyone is recovering well- I'm feeling really motivated to keep crafting. Til next year, National Harbor. 💖

Katsu photo dump because I love my friends so much that any weekend I get to spend in their company hanging out and dressing in our silly little outfits and having a grand old time immediately restores my will to live. (And yes that also goes to the friends I missed or failed to get pics with, I adore y’all too)

“Real” photos coming at some point later i guess whenever i decide to actually use this app lol

2026 Cosplay Wrapped!!! This was my best cosplaying year yet. I made so many incredible new friends, debuted the builds I’m most proud of, and made it to more cons and photoshoots than ever before!

Here’s all the cosplays I did this year, as well as some big moments:

1) I cosplayed Helly R from Severance for the first time (yes I did get short bangs for it, it was a choice but I dont regret it) 💧

2) I brought back Squirrel Girl and met so many new Squirrel friends and even got a compliment on my cosplay from Unbeatable Squirrel Girl writer Ryan North (!!!) 🐿️

3) I cosplayed Nami from One Piece for the first time, doing one of her outfits from the Live Action, and made friends with an incredible group of fellow Nami cosplayers 🍊

4) I did Arezu from Pokemon Legends: Arceus for the first time in a couple years ✂️

5) I cosplayed Clea from Expedition 33 for the first time 🎨

6) I cosplayed Tulip from Infinity Train—my first ever cosplay—for the first time in years ♾️

7) I cosplayed Clea again (this time with wig and makeup) and was part of an incredible Expedition 33 meetup at NY Comic Con 🥀

8) I cosplayed Van Palmer from Yellowjackets for the first time as part of a cosplay group of wonderful friends 🐝

9) I debuted my improved cosplay of The Beast from Over The Garden Wall and met a fellow Beast cosplayer for the first time 🖤

10) I was part of @nycc_nexus_event for the first time, where I cosplayed Ghost/Ava Starr from Thunderbolts* for the first time 👻

11) I cosplayed Rachel Elizabeth Dare from Percy Jackson again for my first ever Flamecon 🏳️‍🌈

12) I fully assembled my first ever ren faire outfit (move over Holly Wheeler I was wearing this outfit first) 🧡

13) I did my first ever full photoshoot, working with @anthonyengphotography to bring The Beast to life 🍂

14) I did an amazing Marvel photoshoot with friends where we fully assembled The Thunderbolts* and more! ⚡️ (sorry guys I ran out of tags but ily)

Can’t wait for next year—including my first ever Dragoncon!! 🐉 💜
