Applications for the Alex Wilcox Memorial Scholarship for 2026 are LIVE!

Alex Wilcox was the heartbeat of every room she entered — a bright light whose joy-first spirit uplifted teammates, friends, and even strangers who crossed her path. Even in the midst of her battle with ovarian cancer, she chose joy. She chose kindness. She chose to lead with love.

Each year, the Joy+Us Foundation recognizes a student who embodies the fearless positivity of Alex. This scholarship supports young people who are working to overcome obstacles, lift up those around them, and carry forward the belief that joy can change lives.

Yale Softball ‘31

I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Yale University to continue my academic and athletic career!

I’d first like to thank my parents for sacrificing so much to get me to this point. None of this would be possible without them. Next, I’d like to thank the Team Pennsylvania Organization and, especially, my Team PA teammates for shaping me into the player and person I am today. I also want to thank Coach J, Coach Mike, and Coach Richele for believing in me and standing by me throughout this entire process. Their leadership has truly been life changing. A big thank you to Kasey and Michelle as well for being the best hitting coaches I could ask for, teaching me to work through adversity and pushing me to be the best that I can be. Finally, I’d like to thank Coach Laura and Coach Lex for this unbelievable opportunity! I can’t wait for this next chapter, Go Bulldogs!! 🐶💙
