Top Atlanta chef, Todd Ginsberg, and local restaurateur, Josh Kim, are joining forces to open a new breakfast and lunch counter concept in South Downtown! The soon-to-be-named restaurant will deliver the kind of nostalgic comfort food and cozy experience you’ll want to be a part of every day.

They’ll be serving breakfast and lunch daily with a menu packed full of playful takes on classics—think unique, crave-worthy sandwiches, a chopped Caesar salad that combines favorite fresh ingredients in every forkful, and sourdough donuts you’ll want to grab with your morning coffee.

Ginsberg is well known in Atlanta for popular spots including The General Muir and Fred’s Meat and Bread. Together with Kim, the duo runs Bloom Roadside in Milton, but felt this location deserved something different and unique. Set in the heart of South Downtown and in one of the most historic buildings in the neighborhood, the 900-square-foot spot will marry the nostalgia of a classic diner with the energy of Atlanta’s modern food scene, creating an experience that will instantly feel like an Atlanta staple.

“It’s the kind of food we want to eat every day—simple, fun, and full of flavor—in a space that’s easy to drop into whether you’ve got ten minutes or an hour,” said Todd Ginsberg.

Fellow chef and partner Josh Kim adds: “Downtown should be where Atlanta feels the most alive, and to be part of its next chapter is really exciting. Our goal is to make this corner counter a go-to for breakfast and lunch—the kind of place you recommend to a friend and then come back to the very next day.”

The diner and sandwich counter will open in 2026 at 185 Mitchell Street SW.
