POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This has been the third year that @yallahcoffee has featured Pico Mirante, and this year it’s been a fixture in their House range.

Last summer, @sam.k.thom from Yallah and Myles, Head of Coffee from FED cafés in Bristol, joined me to visit Adolfo Ferreira at Pico Mirante and to sample last year’s harvest together. It’s got to be a rare thing to have the producer, importer, roaster and café all cupping coffee together. Here’s what Sam had to say:

“We’ve been buying coffee from Adolfo for several years now, and his lots are consistently among the best Brazilian coffees we taste. The quality has always been there, but spending time with him at Pico Mirante, reminded us that consistency like that doesn’t happen by chance. After more than 40 years managing Pico Mirante, he’s still investing in changes that won’t necessarily benefit this year’s harvest, but will make the farm stronger for decades to come.”

If you’d like your relationship with your suppliers to look like this, then get in touch. It’s why I started Cargo.

YALLAH BAR TAKEOVER THIS FRIDAY ☕

This Friday, the roasters behind every coffee we pour are taking over our bar for the day.

From 9am to 12pm, coffees are £1. Come early, say hello to the Yallah team and ask them anything about what’s in your cup.

Through the afternoon they’ll be pouring some of their favourites on hand brew, before @djdr.amaqueen turns the music up with a post-work set and coffee cocktails join the menu.

A morning flat white, an afternoon hand brew, an evening on the harbourside. Drop in for one, or make a day of it.

Big thanks to @yallahcoffee and @fed.303 for bringing it to life. More details via the link in @yallahcoffee’s bio.

Cheers, folks.

The fact I love really good coffee, and this place @coffeeonthecornerltd is directly opposite the gym I frequent but I only have time to make it in like once a month is something I need to rectify.

Ps nailing the guest beans again @yallahcoffee.
