This year held so much change I don’t quite know how to condense it into 20 slides. I started the year with a lot of grief, and grief never really ends — it ebbs, it flows, and eventually you learn to live alongside it.

In June, I moved to New Orleans knowing mostly just my coworkers and @bluejeanbabayy through Instagram. I’ve moved a lot in my life, but it was easier to throw myself into the unknown in my 20s. Starting over at 34 felt scary. I dove in anyway, with minimal expectations and the city met me with beauty, magic, and so much grace.

I can honestly say this was the best summer of my life. @dingus_delicious kept saying it felt like I was living in a fairytale. It’s not quite as surreal now, but it’s still a life I feel deeply lucky to live. 🧚🏼

This year I started a new job, moved to New Orleans, took a sign-painting course, went sailing for the first time, saw a ton of incredible music, danced, laughed, made new friends I’m so grateful for, designed two wedding invitation suites, became a dog person (still a cat person too!), fell in love with New Orleans, and also experienced a lot of hardships along the way.

Not to get all substacky on Instagram but for 2026 all I want is to keep cultivating joy in every way. Finding gratitude in all the small moments and places and people. There is a palpable magic here of people being unapologetically themselves. No judgment — just permission.
Grateful beyond measure. ✨
