POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We often come on here hoping to have the absolute perfect caption. The perfect description or depiction of an experience. Of a feeling. Of “vibes”. Of our carefully curated peaks into our lives.

But if I’m honest, I didn’t know why he was bringing me here. Why he opened the door last minute. And then I came home and processed what my spirit was filled with. What she released in the middle of a cruise ship theatre as hundreds around her too surrendered the heaviness in their hearts. As a stranger prayed over her, cried with her, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, answered a different prayer through that prayer.

How connections were made and are currently being sustained/built. How brothers and sisters who just met, ran to one another,to cover one another. Some in their darkest hour, on a boat, in the middle of the ocean. How the decks of this ship filled with voices in praise. Prayer circles forming near elevator banks. Praying with a family who speaks a different language than you, but doing it anyway (because with God literally anything is possible right). Onlookers becoming participants. Hardened hearts softening through the simple request of prayer, or the impact of a testimony. Hot tubs filled with evangelism and the listening to the hard and real questions that so many have. That as believers, we may often have. Strangers turning and saying “I grew up Christian but then I walked away. But I want to come back. I want to have a relationship with him. I hear him calling me home”.

We were marked and moved by the power of a living God, a living spirit. Touched by each other’s stories. Renewed and inspired by fellowship. By being surrounded by his water and stars. Sunrises and sunsets. Moonlight lingering off ripples. Reminded that even with the excitement around us, it’s not a wave that sustains us. It’s a current. And his name is Jesus Christ ✝️.🌊

Hell trembling. As repentance came. As vulnerability took root. As souls were baptized in a pool on a cruise ship.

I thank these souls and many not pictured for existing as beautiful, resilient, devoted, creations of the Lord. I learned so much from each of you. God, you never cease to amaze me. ✝️🫶

I came on this cruise excited… but I’m leaving transformed.

What happens when strangers come together with one heart for Jesus? You leave family.

Every conversation, every vulnerable story, every moment of worship reminded me how faithful God is. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the people I met and the way they sharpened my faith and encouraged my walk with Christ. God met me here in ways I didn’t even know I needed.

This wasn’t just a trip it was growth.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17
So thankful for this experience and everything God is still doing in me. 🤍

What’s been your favorite memory of us if you have one? 🤔

And then I went to college, and I met people who, for whatever reason, decided to be my friends, and they taught me - everything, really. They made me, and make me, into someone better than I really am... the only trick of friendship, I think, is to find people who are better than you are - not smarter, not cooler, but kinder, and more generous, and more forgiving - and then to appreciate them for what they can teach you, and to try to listen to them when they tell you something about yourself, no matter how bad - or good - it might be, and to trust them, which is the hardest thing of all. But the best, as well.

thank you cottey college, and farewell 💙💛
