Los Angeles! If you are reading this, you are invited! I'm super stoked to announce that my awesome colleagues Heather Huntington and Danielle Evenson will be featuring a half-hour adult animated comedy script that I co-wrote with Andrew Allen at their monthly staged reading series CoPilots at the Elysian theater in Glendale. 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Tickets are here: https://www.elysiantheater.com/shows/copilots0916

The script is titled SUPER HYREALM. It's about a Mario-like fantasy hero who gets sick of saving princesses over and over, so he quits. But years later, drunker and fatter, he gets dragged out of retirement by a new, idealistic young hero who believes the princess is in trouble again, but this time for real. Think ARCHER meets WRECK-IT RALPH; SUPER HYREALM is a lewd, meta adventure comedy about two polar opposites who slowly go from rivals to best friends.

USC friends! the inimitable Julian Vlcan will be reading the Mario character.

NYFA friends! the inimitable Eric Adam Conner will be reading the Bowser/Gannon character.

Now, I'm biased as hell, but I also think it's very, very funny... hope to see YOU there!
