Every book you love fits on this model 📚

And they're proportioned by Mind, Body, and Soul.

Soul is the child-like creator in all of us 🎨. Legends and Lattes or LOTR are prime examples.

Mind is what makes us think, learn, and grow 🧠. These are your philosophies and classics.

Body is how we feel, whether it be fear, fun, or spice 🌶.

Every book has a dash of each, but tend to dominate two of the three.

The Body/Soul books are your romantacies such as ACOTAR, or power driven fantasy like Red Rising 🐉

The Soul/Mind books are the historical fantasies like Bernard Cornwell, urban fantasy, and your steam/cyberpunk ⚔️

Mind/Body are your true crime books and thrillers. Crime and Punishment being an excellent example of both 🔪

Save this to pick your next mood read 📖

If you're a writer, feel free to save this model to map out your WIP and its comps 🔖

Do you agree with these placements? Where would you put your current read?

Which era had the best taste (and trim 💇‍♂️)?

Looking back you can see how my taste changed over the years.

5-10 was when I truly found a heart for reading, picking my own books. And it all began with fantasy 🪄

10-15 was mostly required reading for high school. Don't get me wrong though, I loved these books! And would recommend them now 👏

Did anyone read Skellig? This seems to be one of those things that left a big impression on me as a kid, only to find nobody i know has heard of it. I questioned if I imagined it! 👼

15-20 was my classics era. I actually read all of Orwell's work, and read some classics still getting traction on here! 🐖

20-25 was my academic reading era... and partying 😅 Not much pleasure reading done here sadly

25-30 this were the years I realised I needed help. Self-help era in full swing. I did read a few books outside of that also worth mentioning

30+ (I'm not disclosing how many years old after 30 I am). This is where my love for reading reignited 🔥

They do say your 30s are for doing the things you loved when you were 13!

Full circle ⭕️

This is a very nostalgic post this one. Years in the making!

If you're tagged, I'm challenging you to share your child you recommendations 👶

Are there any books on here that you read as a kid?

Welcome to our second group update!

This fortnight has seen us welcome some new members, engage in some rather controversial discussions and share our high and low moments as we work towards our goal of completing our first drafts by the end of 2026!

We’ve written a huge collective total of 33,584 words this fortnight, which brings us to a total of 57,845 words for the month! 💪

With three months to go, and with each other for support, I know we can do this! ☺️
