Hey Y’all… Just Give Me A Second.

Let Me Have The Floor For Just A Second…

Because I Need To Talk About Mrs. Sequoia Youngblood — USN CDR. ⚓️

This Black Woman Is A Wife, Mother, Seldoming Husband 😏, Daughter, Sister, Daughter-In-Law, Sister-In-Law, Grandbaby, Niece, Auntie, Uncle, Best Friend — Every Godly Thing You Could Imagine And Some. 😇

And To Me…

She Was Also My Mentor.

Mrs. Youngblood WAS — And STILL IS — NEW YORK.

She Got It Out The Mud And Was HOTTTT At It.

E-1 TO COMMANDER. ⚓️

And The Crazy Part?

She Was Only A Few Years Older Than Me.

That Meant Something.

She Never Allowed Me To Just Move Off Emotion, Ego, Or Frustration. She Challenged Me To THINK, Make Sound Decisions, And Understand The Consequences Of Those Decisions.

And Let Me Tell You Something…

SHE’S VERRRRYYYYYYYY INTELLIGENT. 😂

But That Was The Standard With My Mentors In The Navy.

I Know What Strong Black Women Look Like Because I Had The Privilege Of Working Beside Them, Learning From Them, And Being Corrected By Them EVERY DAY.

Mrs. Youngblood Was One Of Them.

Thank You, Mrs. Youngblood, For Being Everything I Needed In A Mentor — And Then Some.

For Showing Me That Leadership Wasn’t Just About Rank.

It Was About CHARACTER. DISCIPLINE. INTELLIGENCE. ACCOUNTABILITY. AND EXAMPLE.

Now That’s Peabo Bry—

NEVERMIND. 😏😂

Y’all Carry On Now…

SHUCKS.

This season was about so much more than basketball. 💙💛

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who believed in and supported our Boo Crew 15U team this EYBL season. Because of your generosity, our girls proudly wore their custom shooting shirts this season while competing against the best in the country.

They finished the EYBL season 3rd in their bracket overall, and we're incredibly proud of everything they accomplished, both on and off the court.

Your support made a real difference, and we are truly grateful for your investment in these young athletes.

Please help us thank our amazing supporters! 👏💙

Basketball really does take you places. 🏀🌍

Never in a million years did I think this game would give me the opportunity to represent my country 🇺🇸 and play overseas in Serbia🇷🇸. Wearing "USA" across my chest is something I'll never take for granted.

I'm beyond grateful to my family for always believing in me, to my @boowilliamsaau @bwslgirlsaau family for trusting me with this opportunity, and to @aaugirls_basketball @aaubasketball for making this unforgettable experience possible.

This was bigger than basketball. New friendships, new cultures, unforgettable memories, and lessons I'll carry with me forever.

Forever thankful. Forever proud. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸 #USA #Grateful #Blessed #StudentAthlete #ballislife BasketballTakesYouPlaces MoreToCome
