DARLINGS AROUND THE WORLD!!! 🌹 When Sarah @milch_honig and Ben @ben_buttler 💎 , the fabulous editors of rosé @rose_artzine, a new Berlin-based queer art zine, contacted me because of my artivism challenging HIV/AIDS stigma, I told them something: THE MARTIAL FOREST / 武林 is only a tiny window into the wild universe of our first feature film, THE FIRST KISS OF THE NIGHT. @thefirstkissofthenight And they proposed transforming it into a GRAPHIC NOVEL for the pages of rosé!!! For our wonderful crew, this is deeply emotional. It means returning to our origins! THE MARTIAL FOREST was born from manga, trans kung fu, and POETIC SUBVERSION! Seeing this universe take on a new life through a graphic novel is a dream coming true. AND DARLINGS… another secret from the future: A VIDEO GAME IS COMING SOON!!! #videogame Because who wouldn’t want to choose their own TRANS WARRIOR and KICK TRANSPHOBIA’S ASS?! Endless gratitude to Sarah and Ben for their incredible editorial work on this magnificent zine, which you can get online! And to the brilliant contributions by @kaironliu and @jorgebordello I also want to thank every festival, every museum, and every artist who has supported and exhibited our kung fu tale from the future. #avantgardecinema #queercinema And to the boring and mainstream festivals that rejected us: history will eventually expose your terrible taste! HEHEHE. #transcinema We remain UNSTOPPABLE in our mission: AVANT-GARDE MADE IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH, FOR THE WORLD!!! From our studio R.I.C.E. — Revolutionary Interdisciplinary Creators Experimentalist.

This bold, deeply queer creative mission—and we don’t mean that as a theory, but as a daily practice—is a space we’ve built together, collectively 🛸 In the middle of so much unnecessary violence, we chose to hack the film industry and turn this film into a call for belonging, bringing together extraordinary talents 🥷💥💥💥 Thank you to every single person who is part of this network of care. And a special thank you to our donors, Sophie Lin, @montiments 💛 and Sophie and the @seattletransfilmfest 🏳️‍⚧️ You can be part of it too. Join the movement! #avantgarde #artpunk #experimentalmusic #kungfu #taiwanesecinema

This poetic revolt that playfully subverts cinematic genres is a completely self-funded project. The audience wanted more kung fu—and we’re giving them more. ⚔️✨ If you’re in Taiwan, you can become part of the final shoots of this feature film—already becoming a cult phenomenon—by making a donation! Send me a DM, or donate directly to our Taiwan bank account or internationally through our website 🌱🌱🌱🌱 As a thank-you, you’ll be invited to join one of our final shooting days, receive a discount for our Movie Party, and get a special invitation to our Memory Parade. Come help us make the future.🎬 🛸✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ 這場詩意的革命（Poetic Revolt），以充滿玩心的方式顛覆電影類型，是一部完全自主籌資、自主製作的作品。 #avantgarde #artoftheday #cinema #taiwanesecinema #martialarts

I will not deny that I remain in mourning for what is unfolding in my homeland, Colombia. Yet today, through participating in @transguanyin_tnua I felt my spirit renewed 🛸🥷🌳🌳🌳 In these times of uncertainty, I choose to make art as a practice of hope, resistance, and collective care 🎥 ✨ ✨ standing in solidarity and moving with courage. My gratitude to @00036g and the curators, and to @johanamatsakio for the powerful curatorial vision and for their precious little film.
