Day 3 of EriSummit 2026 brought our second day of conference programming to life at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.! 🇪🇷 From conversations on culture, entrepreneurship, technology, identity, health, real estate, and community impact to an inspiring keynote and fireside chat from @snitt_misseritrea, the day highlighted the talent, experiences, and perspectives shaping our diaspora. One year ago, 15 people read a script I wrote and said yes to making a movie with me. Next month, we are screening it at our first festival! Excited to share that PROPOSAL will be premiering at the 2026 @montclairfilm festival! We are screening in the OUT SHORTS block - OCT 25 - 6:15 PM. I learned an incredible amount making this short. The first thing I learned is that filmmaking is a team sport. This city is magical!!! Growing up in a small town where the theatre stage, cinema, and gas station (shoutout @sheetz) were the most exciting places to be, I always dreamed of living here. Introducing our global cover star, @angelinajolie.  For Angelina Jolie, creativity and community have always gone hand in hand. She’s busier than ever, balancing humanitarian work with her latest directorial effort, “Without Blood,” and @AtelierJolieOfficial, the creative collective she launched in 2023 in Jean-Michel Basquiat’s former NoHo home and studio in downtown New York. Now, with her six children grown, Jolie is looking toward her next chapter. “It’s the end of a certain time for me,” she tells L’OFFICIEL.  With a new sense of freedom, Jolie plans to take Atelier Jolie abroad while continuing to embrace a life guided by art, purpose, and possibility.
