Through Him, all things are made new, and I’m hyped for this new avenue to chase greatness at @georgiasouthernuniversity 🦅

THANK YOU AUBURN, for an unforgettable year. Even though I’ve been a Bama fan my entire life, I simply can’t deny the beauty of the city, or the proficiency of AU and its students. I can wholeheartedly proclaim that my time on the Plains has CHANGED MY LIFE for the better! And for that, I thank the Lord, my family, my friends, and of course, my students. Y’all truly made these past 12 months LEGENDARY!

Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Graduating from college is no simple feat, but my God held me up so much I did it in 3.5 years instead of 4.

Yup, yesterday, I graduated from the Spelman College.

What most don’t know is that Spelman was never my number one. When I got my rejection letter from Howard, I was heartbroken. I envisioned myself there for as long as I could remember and felt I wasn’t good enough. I’m amazed I’m even saying this, as 18-year-old Morgan wouldn’t have spoken a word about it. I just didn’t understand the rejection, BUT the Lord, per usual, had other plans. That next week, I received my acceptance into my now alma mater. The number one HBCU in the nation; imagine that.

Spelman embraced me, supported me, shaped me.
Spelman has given me things I can’t even begin to express my appreciation for.

Truthfully, I don’t have much to say but thank you.

Thank you to my family. To know me is to know that they are my everything. From the weekly phone check-ins with everyone to the simple “I’m thinking of you” texts, you all made these last 3.5 years much easier than I thought they would be.

Thank you to my brother. My best friend. My support system. I love you, Mase.

To the King and Queen of my Heart:
There are simply not enough words in the world to express my gratitude for everything you all have done for me, not just during my collegiate years but throughout my 21 years. I don’t know what I did to deserve such beautiful souls as my parents, but I would do it again in every lifetime.
Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

These 4 years have been life changing and have transformed me into the true, authentic young man I am today. I am forever indebted and thankful to Morehouse College for taking a young kid from Richmond, Virginia and providing me with an education and experience that can’t be duplicated.

To Graves Hall, thank you for being my first home on campus. Forever grateful to Room 404 and Zach for being apart of my first memories on campus. Shoutout to them 4th floor boys especially.

To the Dept. of Business and Economics, thank you for providing me with the necessary skills to go out and succeed in the world of business. Leadership building has granted me a network of classmates and professors that I will have with me for a lifetime. I leave this department as a 6x Deans List recipient and Most Outstanding Junior & Senior in Management recipient.

To Class Council and SGA, when I first stepped on campus I didn’t know what my involvement was going to look like. This organization opened my eyes to student leadership and service not only for my class but the Morehouse student body as a whole.
