August 1st carries a lot of weight in my family.

My sister Megan’s birthday. Her Husband& my brother in law Rodney’s birthday. And the date I stood in front of them both and pronounced them husband and wife.

Same day. Every year. Forever.

So when it was time to celebrate all three at once, I wasn’t putting the drone down. 🚁

Happy birthday. Happy anniversary. Love y’all.

Golden Hour ✨🇮🇹

I got a timely FaceTime call from my pops.
The kind of call that feels ordinary at first… until it isn’t.

His voice carried this surprised excitement, like he had just stumbled upon a buried treasure. Then suddenly, through the speaker, old footage started playing — a younger version of me, standing in front of people, freestyling, rapping without fear, without hesitation.

He just kept saying,
“Son… you just started rapping.
You had just started freestyling in front of everybody.”

What’s strange is… I don’t even remember this moment of my life.

It almost felt like watching a character I knew deeply, but had somehow forgotten. Like opening an old dusty journal and realizing the handwriting was yours all along.

But maybe that was the point.

Because underneath all the doubt, the distance, the waiting, the wondering if any of this is working… there’s always been one constant thread woven through my life:

I love this.
I’ve always loved this.

Not for attention. Not for applause. But because somewhere deep in me, music has always felt like home.

Moments like this remind me that purpose leaves clues behind. Sometimes God lets old memories find you again when you’re close to giving up.

So even when the road feels long and unclear, I’ll keep going.
Because before the pressure, before the expectations, before all of it… there was just a kid who loved to rap.
