The first time I went into remission, I rang the bell.

3 months later the cancer came back.

Since then, I’ve had an opportunity to ring the bell a few more times, but chose not to. Fool me once I guess.

On Monday night, we had a chance to play our new tune, Devil Gonna Try to 1500 people. This video captures the most important 40 seconds of the night for me.

This was my bell moment.

I can watch this video on mute and see it.

I’m not sure who captured this video, and I would love to shout you out, but thank you.

Still at a loss for words. I wish I could define it more, but I just can’t.

Keep saying yes. Keep showing up. Turn your burdens into blessings.

**APPRECIATION POST**
This gig opening for @charleycrockett was as out of the blue/last minute as it gets. One of those where you just say hell yes and hope for the best. And boy did we get the best. Put out the bat signal to @dericksucks @outtapockettim @sethvance and they showed up with bells on. We hadn’t played together as a group since last October. Didn’t matter. Whipped up a setlist and these dudes absolutely CRUSHED IT.
Jake and I have spent the last 15 years conceiving and creating these tunes. But these boys get up on stage and bring them TO LIFE. And we laughed our asses off the whole time. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Watching Year of the Buffalo and your twin taking the stage last night was pretty surreal.

After everything the last couple of years have brought, especially his battle with colon cancer, moments like this mean more than I could ever put into words.
