Yesterday we held our first K-Pop event at the Sheboygan Summer Festival! We held a K-Pop dance showcase and a K-Pop Random Dance Play for our event. Unfortunately, we were busy changing and focusing on getting to the stage for our performances so we weren’t able to get a proper group photo until after the whole event! We would like to thank the Hmong Association of Sheboygan for giving us this opportunity to make this event happen! We would love to thank all the other K-Pop dance performers. All of the performers did great yesterday and it was so awesome to meet other groups and soloists who had a passion for K-Pop as well. Although the heat was strong, everyone pushed through with both performances and the random dance play. This was definitely an unforgettable experience for all of us and we can’t wait to have more events we host like this in the future.⁣⁣

This event gave us such a great opportunity to open up the K-Pop community in our own community, the Hmong community! We were able to share our love for K-Pop and our own talent. Hopefully we can continue to do this. Lastly, thank you to our family and friends for supporting us with everything! Without them we would not be able to do this💜

We were given a chance to compete for the Changwon K-Pop World Festival! It was definitely an amazing experience for all of us. Although, we were all nervous because of the short time we had practiced together, we still killed it on stage. All the teams and soloists did great! Congratulations to all the teams that placed!⁣

Thank you @kaac.events for this amazing opportunity! Thank you to all of our family and friends who have supported us!

Placed 1st at @uchicagonexus Konnex Journey to…! We were definitely surprised because all of the groups did very great. A surreal moment that we will all cherish. Although we only had one official practice altogether as 4 for the competition, we were still able to pull everything off. We are all proud of ourselves and each other! ⁣⁣

This weekend we attended AMKE and hosted our first K-Pop random dance play. There were some problems with the panel rooms so we weren’t able to host our K-Pop random dance play in a panel room, but in the end we were still able to figure out how to hold the random play dance. Although we were pretty stressed about the whole situation, we ended up having one of the best times ever. We are so grateful to everyone who attended, the energy was so amazing. We loved seeing everyone have so much fun and enjoy themselves out there while dancing! It was also really nice meeting so many new people. We hope to host more K-Pop random dance plays and probably even host an event ourselves.⁣

This weekend was definitely unforgettable for all of us members. We are not a really active group due to our schedules so it is hard to see each other as well. We were able to have so much fun at the convention and create new memories together. All of us miss this weekend so much as this is was a time where we were all stress free and were able to bond together again. ⁣

This is going to sound very corny, but as the leader (Heidi). I am so grateful to have spent this time with the girls. It is very hard that we are not able to see each other much, but I always cherish every moment we are together. This weekend we had so much fun together! I remember when me and Lexi cried when realizing that this weekend was really over. To the members, I can not wait to see what future has ahead for us all individually and as a group. I am so grateful to have you all as my team members and close friends. This whole weekend was just full of happiness being with you all. We made tiktoks, danced, and joked around. I definitely miss this weekend a lot, but I really can’t wait for us to do this again. I love and miss you all, happy valentines day!💜⁣

Meet our KPOP workshop instructor for the weekend!

Hi, my name is Hailey Thao and I am 18 years old. I am a dancer that is passionate about K-pop and teaching others who would love to learn more. I was 8 years old when I was first introduced to K-pop and never looked back since, groups like Girls Generation, 2NE1, Big Bang, SECRET, SISTAR, and Infinite inspired me to dance. I tried to copy their dance moves every time I watched their music videos and didn’t start self-learning until I was about 14/15 years old. I have grown as a dancer and would love to keep improving while helping those who also have a passion or interest for dance and K-pop.

Just a reminder that we did split the kpop class into 2 groups. Ages 11 and under is from 1pm-2pm and ages 12+ 2pm-3pm (unless prior arrangements have been made). Arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time to complete the waiver form and please wear a mask at all times. Thank you and see you soon!

Another late post😭 Anyways we had a lot of fun competing at the Korea Day K-Pop competition at UW-Milwaukee! We were able to take third place at our second competition! We are really thankful for being able to compete and place 3rd. This was definitely another fun experience for us. Also a little funny thing, but we learned STAYC’s Stereotype individually and learned all of our formations as a group right before filming our cover! It was definitely a bit harder to clean up our moves as we put everything together in 2 hours as a group!
⁣
Congratulations to HELIXX and Chemical X as well for placing. KASPER and KOMET did an amazing job as well. It was really nice to see all of your performances and cheer all of you on! ⁣

This is a very late post, but thank you again to @mkdcofficial and @kccla for giving us this special opportunity to compete and perform at MKF 2021! We are really thankful for this opportunity. We will definitely remember this fun experience. We definitely learned a lot from this especially being our first competition as a group. We really enjoyed meeting new people AND the crowd’s energy!! The energy is literally unmatched and it was so awesome to hear everyone cheering! Hopefully we get another opportunity like this for next year and thank you again!⁣
⁣
Congratulations to HELIXX, Chemical X, and RB.F for placing! All the teams did so well and it was really awesome to see each of you perform. We also learned a lot from each group as well just by watching their stages! ⁣
⁣
