Yella 🏂 known across IG as @yellaomo… is one of the riders redefining what the slopes look like. Based in London, she splits her time between skateboarding, snowboarding, and martial arts… and documents her growth with a joy and honesty that pulls you in.

She rides with Technically Doing It (TDI) — a global crew of Black and brown boarders creating visibility in spaces that haven’t always made room for us.
And now her work is getting real shine: featured in The Reason magazine’s “Rise of Female Dome Shredders” issue, where she spoke about learning the sport, finding confidence, and being visible on terrain where we’re still rare.

What makes her journey special is simple:
every turn she makes adds color, culture, and possibility to a sport that was never built with us in mind.

This is her story in motion.
And she’s only just getting started. 🤎

Last weekend we held our Christmas party at Selfridges! With just 25 tickets available it was the most intimate festive affair we have ever had in our 8 years, and it was so much fun we forgot to get any real clips from the night! 🍻 🥳 From the delicious pizzas from @pizzapilgrims and homemade bakes, to the beers from @bigdropbrewco and wine from @greenrootswine and also the piñata we’re not allowed to mention 🤣 it was definitely a night to remember!

Thanks to everyone who came along and celebrated yet ANOTHER year with us! And to all of you who came along throughout the day for your lessons with @theskateretreat 🫶🏾
