These romance books were SO SPICY I couldn’t read them in public ⤵️

💭 What is your favorite spicy romance book?

I started out on bookstagram obsessed with YA fantasy and contemporary romance, and that’s slowly turned into romantasy and general romance (contemporary, dark, paranormal) 🥹🤍

Really I’m a sucker for anything with fake dating, dual POV, he falls first, arranged marriage, loathe to love. Really just all the tropes 🌸

And here’s a little secret…all of these books are on kindle unlimited (last I checked), so you can grab your copy for free through KU 🎉

Oh, and if you’re like me, a lot of them do have discrete covers (THANK GOODNESS) or you can just read them on the kindle app.

The Inspiration vs Reality

I was looking back through old screenshots of inspo for our extension on our house, and as y'all know, the home library has been a long-time dream of mine, I found some old screenshots from 2022 and 2024 that I had taken well before becoming a bookstagrammer and these #shelfie pics are ones I would show my FiL when I told him how I wanted my shelves to turn out.

So I tracked these legends down, and with their permission, I am sharing some pics of their shelves, the first image is the original screenshot I took and the second is a more recent image of their fabulous shelves! Thank you again, lovelies, for agreeing to this 💙 go check out @yelli3_reads @xenatine and @ajaneofreads their shelves are serious shelf goals!!

There were a couple of others that I had screenshoted long ago, but I haven't included them as I never got a response to my message (which is totally understandable im just some rando sliding into their dms hahaha) but go check out @darkfaerietales_ and @libraryinthecountry their shelves were also inspiring for me!!

20 photos isn’t enough to show off my @imaginariumbookfestival photo haul— and yet I somehow still didn’t take photos with many of my favorites that were in attendance. Truly, everywhere I looked was just bright and shining lights of the bookish community—both readers, venders, volunteers, and authors!

These photos can’t truly show the love and life (and heat) that was present at this convention! We were all sweaty together and it was a great bonding experience 🤣 truly though, this was so wonderful and I can’t wait for next time!!

And to you steadfast and kind volunteers, managers, and my amazing assistant/ bestie @yelli3_reads and my PA who was there to party but still checked in on my constantly and made sure I was good @thatsemibasicgirl thank you so much for making the con a success!

What. A. Time!
@imaginariumbookfestival 2026 was my first Imaginarium and definitely not my last.
To all the incredible authors I met, thank you for being so kind! I met so many favorites and ones that write stories I can’t wait to immerse myself in. The other attendees were great and interacting with book people will always be my favorite. I got to trade and fangirl over authors to my hearts content. 🥰
Here are some photos I remembered to get, and hopefully next time I remember to take even more!
The haul of preorders and books bought is at the end. 😅 good thing my husband loves me 🤣 because I don’t know where I will fit them haha!

✨️BookCon 2026 Recap✨️

QOTD: Have you been to a book-centered event?

This is my 4th bookish event and every time I have such a blast! I love getting to meet my favorite authors and seeing my friends I've made because of this community 🥰 BookCon was no exception and I had such a fun weekend at the convention and just getting to be in New York for the weekend. I definitely hope to come back again next year!

I always plan to post a "post-convention" haul, but I think I only brought back home two new books 🤣 I bought a lot of art and such this year instead it seemed which I may still post. There was so many good vendors out there!!!

@bookcon yearbook 2026✨

Random fact but I was a yearbook editor in high school so bookstagram lets me nurture that creative side - any other editors out there?!

Friday: kicked off the weekend at the cutest putt putt party with @simonteen @scarlettpress.us - we just ✨casually chatted✨ with powerhouses like @hm.wolfe @tracydeonn and @thechloegong 💕 Thank you for letting us mingle with so many amazing authors at the #nightonthegreens ⛳️ @simonandschuster (@bookishqueenreads kept winning - rude)

Saturday: BookCon day 1! I will say I think VIP was worth it - that extra hour before everyone comes in is crucial. Thank you to the tagged publishers for the lovely books and swag!
Highlights: seeing the amazing @contrarianpublishing team, meeting @rachelreidwrites, and seeing so many author friends @atlas_creed @frankiediane and more!

Sunday: managed to get a @marieluthewriter arc (😭) and see @carissabroadbentbooks and @elise.kova at @thebookishbox booth!

The weekend had its ups and downs as was expected for an event to return post-pandemic but I am still happy I got to be there with my friends!

So BookCon has come and gone and while I have many thoughts, one thing remains the same.

Seven years ago I went to my first BookCon and started to find my bookish tribe. And after all these years away, it’s still the people that this weekend everything.

Through all of the crazy lines and cramped spaces, the people I’m lucky enough to surround myself with just make everything better. The running around, the waiting, the panels, the events, all of it was worth it because of who I got to share it with.

Huge thank you to @simonmaverickaudio, @bornfromthetree, @fiercereads, @simonteen, @sourcebooks, @avonbooks, @williammorrowbooks, @harpervoyagerus, and @epicreads for giving me so many extra reasons to spend time with some of my favorite people.

And an extra special shoutout to @thebookblondie, @yelli3_reads, @tri.state.reader, @fantasybeforereality, and @literaryhypewoman for being the best con buddies I could ask for.

I wish I took a million more pictures with everyone I saw.

I am just feeling so incredibly lucky that taking book pics and posting them on the internet brought me some of the most amazing people. 🖤
