Marfa was alive last night with openings across town, so many people having a great time! Perfect weather, beautiful thunderheads, but just for show. Cool air and calm breeze- the kind of weather that feels like it’s showing off!

This is one of the toned and selectively bleached cyanotypes I have at @weareclubnowhere - open this weekend 11-4. The show is filled with regional artist’s work and is one to put on your gallery schedule!

Santa Elena from the overlook. I had never been to the overlook but glad I did! I need to remember that the overlooks though out Big Bend National Park are worth stopping for!

@yosdyvaldivia representing Presidio!

Gorgeous night sky photography by @marcusc_photo

Wonderful collection of photos from @ruidosachurch

And great documentary photography by Carlos Morales @celizario (sorry I didn’t get a better shot, Carlos!)

Personal hero- @colleen_obrien has some gorgeous pieces in the exhibit- alongside some larger pieces by @eureka_draw

There’s a time lapse video by @marcusc_photo
Alongside his beautiful astrophotography!

Also in the exhibit: beautiful black and white photos by Julián Herrera @vidjuheffex - I got distracted and forgot to circle back to his work! Go see it in person!

Watching your friends dreams come true is really cool🥹 love you Keirstin!

I’m so glad I took the weekend to roadtrip out to Sanderson for the @yellowbrickartco grand opening! This studio has been in the works for a long time and now it’s open for visitors! This area is always worth the trip and the party has been amazing in every way💛

Terrell County in project area BBT-5 just gave Fisher Industries a big foothold in the region despite constituents’ opposition to the proposed agreement. Locals showed up to court multiple times to speak against the item, saw it tabled, presented an alternative offer, and still were let down.

It’s incredibly disappointing to see the court move forward with this agreement to lease land to the contractor that was awarded $2.6B (the largest border barrier contract in U.S. history) to construct roads, bridges, and barriers where they’re entirely unnecessary.

Since our own local leaders won’t stand up for us, we are just going to have to keep showing up for each other and supporting our friends and neighbors that are directly harmed by this decision.

@yellowbrickartco has their grand opening this weekend!!!! So much love and energy has been poured into this art and I’m so excited for my sweet friend to finally see her studio open to the public!!! There’s gonna be so much goodness happening all day Saturday and then a rally on Sunday morning to follow! Visit Sanderson, TX this weekend, it’ll be so worth it 💛💛💛

Necklaces and bolos made with TLC. A lot of the stones were found on a ranch in west Texas and slabbed and cabbed by @morenci_artwork ✨ The wings were collected by friends and myself and preserved in glass. Lots of Neato found-saved-transformed pieces. I’ll be taking these to Sanderson this weekend and I’ll post what remains on the website soon. Thank you and I hope you like these wearable stained glass art pieces! ❤️ #stainedglass #texasartist #farwesttexas #shopsmall

Yellow Brick Art Co. is celebrating its grand opening this weekend in Sanderson!

Spend Saturday exploring the new gallery with live music, local artists and vendors, food, drinks, and a raffle benefiting No Big Bend Wall. Austin Bike Zoo will also be bringing their one of a kind bikes from 10am–12pm! Stick around for more live music at Ferguson Motors and an after party at The Ranch House (21+).

Sanderson businesses are joining in too with food, drink, and lodging specials throughout the weekend. Come for the grand opening, stay awhile, and make a weekend of it.
