ACiQ and I have been keeping a secret and are FINALLY proud to announce a project we have been working on! 🥶

The School for Cool is officially standing but still under construction. This will be the home for where future projects, content and teaching will take place to take the trade one step further for those looking to elevate their career.

I am so excited to include all of you on this journey, stick around as we continue the project one day at a time and build this together from the ground up.

If you would like to be a sponsor and partner with the school, send me a DM for details 🔥❄️

“It’s just up in the attic.”

They weren’t lying… they just left out the distance. 😂 Nice attic, plenty of room, but halfway to the unit I started wondering if I should’ve packed a lunch.

Finally made it, got settled in, reached for my screwdriver… still in the truck. That return trip ought to count as a second service call.

Finishing up a walk-in cooler and freezer today! 🔥❄️

One thing to remember: Heat moves the solder, not the flame. Let the copper get hot enough to do the work, and the solder will flow right where it needs to go.

Slow, steady, and done right.

Slow and steady when it’s under pressure. 🔧

Unfortunately, not every day is a sheet metal day. Sometimes you’ve gotta put the snips down and pick up the tubing cutters.

Piping up a walk-in cooler and freezer today. Different side of the trade, same attention to detail.

Got to catch up with the Yellow Jacket team at AHR Expo Mexico and ask them what their favorite features are on the TITANMAX Digital Manifold! 🔥

Always cool getting to hear directly from the people behind the tools we use in the field and learning what makes their products stand out.

What’s one feature you look for in a digital manifold?

Analog or digital—what’s riding in your tool bag? 🔧

Yellow Jacket keeps it simple with a battery-free analog setup. Fieldpiece brings automatic superheat and subcooling calculations, wireless readings, and data logging.

Both can get the job done. The right setup depends on your work and which features you’ll use.

Which one do you reach for—and why? 👇

Brushless...

When it comes to safety requirements around flammable refrigerants or "slightly" flammable refrigerants; vacuum pumps and recovery machines have been designed to eliminate internal sparks of motors and other electrical components.

We have this discussion with Eric Ruggles from @yellowjackettools on the HVAC Know It All Podcast.
Yellow Jacket has implemented these design parameters in their equipment.
