If you knew this was your last year to experience college exactly as you know it how would you go about it?

You’re not just entering your final year you’re closing a chapter that shaped you socially, personally, and academically.

Go to the event, talk to the professor, make the friend, take the picture, ask the question, try what scares you and if you embarrass yourself so what? You’re graduating anyway. Let them gossip you’ll be gone before the group chat gets to the good part

Your degree doesn’t have to dictate your future. Education gives you a foundation, not a blueprint. Don’t let the fear of getting it wrong stop you from discovering what you can get right.

Stop comparing your timeline to everyone else’s. We all move at different speeds, with different experiences and opportunities. Someone reaching a milestone before you doesn’t make your journey less meaningful. Your timeline is yours honor it.

Don’t become so focused on the future that you forget to experience the present. Start the conversation. Take the picture. Say yes to the experience. One day, these moments may be the ones you wish you could relive.

And remember, support doesn’t always come from where you expect it. Sometimes it’s simply, “I’m proud of you,” or “You have potential.” Turn those words into motivation. Seek guidance, ask questions, and let the people around you help you navigate what comes next.

Your support system doesn’t disappear when you elevate it evolves. Don’t be so determined to prove you can do everything alone that you forget the people willing to walk beside you.

When you cross that stage, pour back into the people who poured into you. Nothing is guaranteed. Cherish the support, honor it, and return it with gratitude.

Because one day, within the degree you’re trying so hard to finish, there will be a moment you wish you could experience one more time.

Don’t treat your last year like an exit ticket. Be present enough to actually live it.

THE FINISH LINE IS ONLY PROOF OF HOW FAR YOU WERE WILLING TO GO. KEEP GOING 🫶🏾
