Behind the Lens. A series exploring the minds of the creatives that bring the cultures of skate, surf and more to life. First up @yentlt. A filmmaker and photographer hailing from the French Caribbean, whose move to mainland France brought with it a fresh injection of energy into the scene… “I bought a 35mm camera, a VHS camcorder and started shooting my friends and everything around me.“ Full interview on onsite via link in bio. 📷 @danesingleton + @corentin_bertau

A throwback to GOOD HOPE — Our vignette of @mikeyfebruary. A short film. A print piece. A South African adventure. Now South African swell chases in season are quite the affair, namely because there are too many, a true plethora of options to choose from. Leaving Cape Town in the rain, which short circuited the car’s central locking and left us with one operational door (read, inconvenient) we roped in AVG (@alanvangysen) to guide our adventure, pointed the nose towards J Bay and the rest, as they say was History! If you missed GOOD HOPE the first time round, head to wastedtalentmag.com for both our print piece and video. 🎞️ @yentlt

Two years of adventure, sharing, struggles, but most of all, happiness. Two island guys who traveled the world trying to produce a surf film. Honestly, we did pretty well when we think back. I’m proud to say you’re my friend, thanks @yentlt for this amazing journey. Let’s see what the future holds for us now 🙌🏽. 📸 @tomlmphotography & @livschoenbaechler
