THE DINING ROOM WE DECORATED (and a bit of our kitchen too)

These two rooms genuinely make me smile every time I walk in! In fact, I think it might look even more gorgeous in the autumn sunshine? Yellow and Green most definitely should be seen! 🤣

Have a swipe though for the full room tour ⬅️ At the end you’ll see how the room started when we first moved in - snooze fest much?

All paints in here are @yes.colours - and if this won’t persuade you to paint your skirtings and woodwork yellow I don’t know what will 🤣

What do you think babes?

SAVE this post for your next home colour scheme, and send it to a friend you think will like it ❤️

When I first viewed my flat, there was an ugly gas fire monstrosity in the living room and two boarded up fireplaces in the bedrooms. I hoped there would be treasures hiding beneath the boards and I was not disappointed. Except for the one in the living room. That ugly gas fire was just hiding criminal damage to the original blue tiles, a mountain of soot and a seagull skeleton 🙈. So I got that prettied up using gorgeous cornflower blue zellige tiles and some of the pink ones I had leftover from my old kitchen.

The real surprise was in the spare bedroom. I never would have guessed that behind that plain white facade was a riot of red Edwardian tiles plus all of the iron bits! I had already chosen the neon red colour for the surround before I pulled it off and I love how it turned out!

Eden’s room also had a little bit of treasure concealed behind the boards. My attempt to strip it of decades of paint didn’t go to plan however, as I applied the Klingstrip during a heatwave and then freaked out that it would dry and make removal impossible. Cue me frantically removing kilos of stripper and paint globs and making a horrendous mess right before Eden’s bedtime 😂. I’ll have another go at it soon and polish it all up.

Which one is your favourite?
