This week was a meaningful day of collaboration, mentorship, and exposure as the 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge joined forces with the Collegiate 100 Chapter at Southern University to host members of the 100 Black Men of Alton Inc., (Southern Illinois) for campus visits at Louisiana State University and Southern University and A&M College.

The young Black Kings and Queens had the opportunity to walk the campuses, engage with current students and leaders, learn about admissions, student life, academic opportunities, and begin envisioning themselves as future college students. For many, experiences like these transform college from a distant dream into a tangible goal.

Exposure creates opportunity. When young people see themselves on a college campus, ask questions, and hear firsthand stories from those who have walked the path before them, they begin to believe that higher education is within their reach.

This is exactly why organizations like the 100 Black Men continue to invest in our youth: through mentoring, education, leadership development, and creating experiences that inspire the next generation to dream bigger and achieve more.

A special thank you to the Collegiate 100 at Southern University, our mentors, volunteers, Howard White, and everyone who helped make the day a success. Together, we are building bridges, opening doors, and reminding our youth that their future is filled with endless possibilities.

As our motto reminds us:

“What They See Is What They’ll Be.” 💙💛💜💛
