🎙️ THE BOOMBOX MENTALITY.

What does it take to represent Southern University when the lights are brightest?

2003 SWAC Champion James Vernon @jvproductionsllc and 2013 SWAC Champion Lee Doss @_2eastside_ sit down to talk about the magnitude of the BoomBox Classic, the intensity of the Southern vs. Jackson State rivalry, and the mindset it took to lead championship-caliber teams on The Bluff. 🐆🏆

This rivalry is bigger than a game. It’s tradition. Pride. Culture. Legacy.

And when you put on that Jaguar uniform, you’re not just playing for yourself — you’re playing for everyone who came before you and everyone who will come after you.

The BoomBox Classic is HERE. 🎺🏈

This week, we study the Heart Chakra — Anahata. 💚

One hand to the heart.
One hand to the breath.
And a moment to simply listen.

The Heart Chakra invites us to explore love beyond the romantic kind — compassion, forgiveness, connection, openness, community, and the love we extend to ourselves.

Sometimes opening the heart isn’t about giving more.

Sometimes it’s learning how to receive.

Move. Breathe. Glow.

The work doesn’t end when the mats are rolled up.

Proud to support the Southern University Jaguars with movement, mobility, breathwork, and recovery as they prepare for the season ahead.

Every session is an investment in performance—on and off the field.

💙💛 Go Jags.

Training the body is one thing. Creating space for young men to breathe, reflect, laugh, and speak honestly — that’s the real work.

Grateful for this moment, this energy, and voices like Cam’s. This is why we show up. A big shout out to both offense and defense. These guys were hard and we appreciate their effort on the mat!

The moment I discovered FCA in high school, I felt a connection. Little did I know, it would become a defining part of my college journey, especially for an event like College Athlete Retreat, going every year since my freshman year. I have been privileged to serve with the best leaders from around the state over the last three years, and seen my own eyes open wide for the transformation that the Lord has made in my own life.

What a bittersweet experience as 2026 was the last time I go there as a camper. Every year that I go to CAR I always seem like it can’t get any better, yet it always does. It’s an honor to serve with FCA. You don’t forget the people who you grew with for 48 hours and developed memories that will last a lifetime.

“Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people,” Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬

My story isn’t over. My story has just begun. God Bless.
