A ghost in the wind.

Memories are something interesting. Sometimes, we as humans agree to act like things didn’t happen. More so to say, we usually have yet to make peace with our past and how that shapes our future. The key word is “act” because it is what it is. However you shouldn’t be scared of what it could be.

I’ve come to realize that as you grow, all you see is ghost. Former friends, lovers, opportunities, or any interpersonal relationship that held meaning really. You learn to be in tune with all the energy around you and the truly skilled can perceive it. “Maturity” is such a complicated concept. The standards always change depending on who you ask. We aren’t all that grown up, we’re all children on the inside. Some say you may perceive less when you’re older. It’s a double edged sword but remember…

A pop up shop will be hosted outside the venue with pieces/art/prints sold by creatives participating in the show, making shopping local and giving back to our vibrant artistic community easy and fun!

The Strauss Gallery at Artspace is an accessible space, all on one floor, with plenty of seating inside, and plenty of street and garage parking close to the venue.

SUBCULTURE: ALLURE is a fashion and variety show that invites you to take refuge from the ordinary and normal and embrace the truly extraordinary and supernatural. You will find yourself horrifically spellbound by the wicked, ghastly, gruesome, macabre, and grotesquely beautiful as your wildest dreams (or nightmares) become reality. These spectacular, sublime, and spectral visions will make you question normative conventions of beauty which do not fully encompass all that elicits us to stop and stare in awe.
