Special moments on @thejordantrail_ 🇯🇴

1 & 2: Crossing deep waters in the canyon on our first hike day.

The weather conditions are consistently changing the land and effecting the trail. Last season we crossed the canyon with water up to our ankles, this season it’s been up to our hips. To make sure the trail remains safe, we choose to cross the canyon only if the weather allows us to do so. The trail is asking us to be as flexible as the trail itself, it’s what makes the @thejordantrail_ trail so dynamic! It’s always tailored to the group to ensure a good combination between the experience and safety.

3 & 4: Tea breaks! We stop at the most scenic places to make a fire for a hot cup of tea. Jordan can be hotter than hot and long breaks are key to make it through the day. I can’t get enough of seeing that big tea pot on top of a fire in the middle of the desert. It’s a real vibe.

5: Sleeping under the stars. Jordan is the only place so far I don’t pitch my tent. I love scouting for a good place to lay down my matras, enjoy the sunset and fall asleep directly underneath the stars. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and seeing a falling star before drifting away again. That happened multiple times already!

6: This landscape! I mean do I need to say more?

7: Layers and layers. Can’t get enough.

8: Obviously 🐱!

9: The amount of history in this land is mindblowing. I have been guiding this trail for 7 weeks by now and I continue to learn new things every day. From fossils of shells to world wonders and collapsed empires. The stories one can share are endless and I couldn’t be more excited to have the best storyteller I know as my partner in crime soon (little spoiler 🤓)!

Obviously there is soooo much more to show and tell. I haven’t even mentioned the Bedouin culture and the food yet.

📷 the first three photos are made by @ylinde . Grateful to have spend a day with you on trail in Jordan!
