Will you join me for a FREE lunch at the YWCA of Asheville and Western North Carolina? 📚🧡

I’m excited to invite you to an interactive lunchtime experience on Wednesday, November 4, at noon, inspired by Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You!

Rev. Sean Palmer and I will share personal stories and lived experiences that bring the book’s themes to life, connecting the history of racism to our communities today and the future we have the power to shape together.

This gathering kicks off the YWCA’s Joy & Justice Anti-Racist Book Club, a series rooted in our mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and inspire meaningful community action.

Our Racial Justice Director, Megan Pugh, will facilitate an engaging conversation that invites us to challenge assumptions, learn from one another, and imagine a more just and inclusive Asheville.

People of all races, backgrounds, and experiences are welcome at this table. You don’t have to read or even buy the book to participate! Just bring your curiosity, your perspective, and a willingness to listen, learn, and connect.

There’s a place at the table for you, and your voice matters. 🧡

Save your seat today on Eventbrite. I’d love to see you there! #828isgreat #ashevillestrong #blackbooks
