POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Young Blitz hit record “Again” w/ King Louie, video by Black Warrior Films and released on YouTube in 2015. Repping Jane and Finch, Blitz is 1 of the heavyweights of the mixtape and YouTube era. He entered the game with a purpose, releasing his debut single “Str8 Out Of Metro Housing” in 2014. He followed it up the same year with a video for his record “Toe Tags” with legendary LOX emcee Sheek Louch. His authenticity and talent for making big records was obvious and the professionalism at which he approached the game quickly set him apart and gained the attention of the city. In 2015, Blitz shocked the scene by bringing King Louie to the city and filming their video for “Again” in UpTop JNF, with many other notable emcees also appearing in the video. At the time, Chicago’s drill music scene and King Louie was widely recognized as 1 of the foundational artists of the genre, being shouted out by Kanye on his “Don’t Like (Remix)” verse and featured on his “Yeezus” album. With the game on notice, Blitz released his classic debut mixtape “Str8 Outta Metro Housin” in 2016. He has remained an impactful artist in the game, releasing his debut album “Started From Scratch” in 2024 featuring hits like “Ontario to Alberta” and more. We look forward to more music from him and salute Young Blitz for his major contribution to the game #youngblitz #kinglouie #6barstv

🎙️✨ 50 Episodes. One Mission. Keep The Culture Alive. ✨🎙️

In 2020, during a time when the world slowed down, I leaned in.
I created and hosted “What’s Poppin” — a 50-episode podcast spotlighting voices from our communities.

From artists 🎨
To coaches 🏀
To activists ✊🏾
To cultural leaders 🎭

We had real conversations about identity, struggle, resilience, and excellence.

This wasn’t just a podcast.
It was a platform.

A space where Black, African Diaspora, and Indigenous voices in Arts & Entertainment across Canada could be heard, celebrated, and documented.

Because culture doesn’t survive by accident — it survives when we nurture it.

I’ve always believed that storytelling is resistance.
And preserving our narratives is power.

Grateful to every guest who trusted the mic.
Grateful to everyone who tuned in.
The archive lives on. The work continues.
New Podcast loading stay tuned.......
