G-DRAGON — The Journey of an Artist Who Left His Mark on History 👑

From childhood, Kwon Ji Yong (G-DRAGON) began a journey unlike anyone else’s. Born on August 18, 1988, in Seoul, he began performing on stage at a young age, then entered the world of hip-hop and trained for many years before reaching his true dream.

In 2006, he officially debuted with BIGBANG as the group’s leader, rapper, songwriter, and producer. He quickly became one of the key figures who helped shape the group’s musical identity. He was not simply a singer performing songs; he took part in writing, composing, and producing, becoming known as an artist who creates his own music.

In 2009, he began his solo chapter with the album Heartbreaker, then continued building his own identity through works such as One of a Kind in 2012 and Coup d’État in 2013. With every release, he proved that he did not want to repeat what others had done, but wanted to create his own style in music, image, and art.

In 2013, he also began expanding his world beyond music, making art, fashion, and design an essential part of his creative identity. This eventually developed into the project PEACEMINUSONE, which became one of the most recognizable brands associated with his name and style.

In 2017, he released the album Kwon Ji Yong, a more personal and reflective work, before stepping away from the spotlight for a period due to his military service. After years of changes, he ended his long association with YG Entertainment in 2023 and began a new chapter with Galaxy Corporation.

In 2024, his name returned strongly to the spotlight, and his presence was not limited to music. He was appointed as a visiting professor at KAIST and also established the JusPeace Foundation, which focuses on issues related to artists and society.

Then came 2025 as one of the most important chapters of his return, with the release of his third album, Übermensch, on February 25. It was his first full-length album in nearly 12 years and included songs such as POWER, HOME SWEET HOME, and TOO BAD, featuring Anderson .Paak.

In 2026, his influence continued to go beyond music. He was selected as an honorary ambassador for the UNESCO World

🎧BIGBANG-《BiiiG》live
