Set ups, props, lights, camera…action. Even our yoga has become a picture book, a stage for criticism, with only an insta-moment of a captured story. Look for the expressions and nuances. Observe the details and minutia. #iyengaryoga teaches us to see beyond the skin, become sensitive and receptive, the pose is never ending, like the stories here on Instagram. #happyfriday #shabbatshalom #summer #summersolstice

The plum line. This is when we balance and align our body’s center of gravity with the earth’s gravitational field. Simple in theory, sometime next to impossible in reality. Teaching yoga has so many elements, moral integrity, internal observation, posture, breath, withdraw of the senses, concentration, mediation and absorption. Otherwise known as the 8 limbs of yoga. In these examples we use the #plumline to correct the posture which cultivates the rest of the practice. Posture becomes more simplified, as if aligning and stacking your joints is a simple task! But when we can feel that and taste it, the other 7 limbs make their way through the system. This is yoga. 🙏🏻 #iyengar #iyengaryoga #iyengarmethod #iyengaryogateacher #yogaforlife #yogaforbeginners #yogaforall #yogaformen #yogaforscoliosis #yogaforbackpain #yogaforstrength #yogaeveryday #yogaeverywhere #yogaforeveryone #yogalove #yogabodii #yogabodiilifestyle #yogabodiiforeverybodii #namaste

Sometimes I get lost along the way. It’s been happening to me for as long as I can remember. I’ll lose myself in nature and fall off the path, I’ll find my own melody in a song, and often i retrace my steps and always, my #angels help me find my way back. Spring is around the corner. We have much to look forward. In the mean time, i highly recommend finding yourself, in nature, in spirit, or on your mat. All will prove to be powerful, meaningful, uplifting, offering courage to get through to the next season. I’m here to help you on this transition. @yogabodii #namaste #peace #love #goodconquersevil #canadianshield #canadian #yogaforlife #yogaforthesoul #yogaforstrength #yogatherapy #chakrabalancing #alternativehealth #foodismedicine #yogaforstrength #ekapadasetubandhasana #angels #spirit

What are you doing this weekend? Hanging around?? Lots of reasons to stay quiet and put in our homes. Many more reasons to try something different to change our ways of thinking. My mind is a blizzard and my heart is broken for what this world is going through. What is the future for our children? The best chance I have to get out of my head is to move more deeply into spaces and shapes. The ability to expand my body, opens the channels to breathing more optimally with extension and traction. This, sadly will not save the world… but will help me manage and cope through my own world. #today. #Tomorrow is another battle and therefore another practice. #peace #peaceonearth #kindnessmatters #makelovenotwar #yogaforlife #yogafordepression #yogaforeverybody #yogaforstressrelief #yogaforeveryone #yogapractice #yogainspiration #kuruntayoga #ropewall #yogabodii #yogabodiilifestyle #yogabodiiforeverybodii 🙏🏻

Every day is a new chance to start over. Begin again. Improve and become better at being you. When you are your best to self, those around you benefit from your spirit and aura. Yoga is a way to find your best self. Not your best pose. Your best effort. Not your best accomplishment but your journey. Yoga is often a conduit to the expansion of self both physically and emotionally. Come see for yourself 🙏🏻 #yogabodii #yogabodiilifestyle #yogabodiiforeverybodii

#Balance is not only a physical ability but also an emotional regulation. Our bodies are imperfectly perfect. One knee roles inwardly more. One side is more dominant. When we learn to dissect ourselves, not criticize, not judge, and not shame, but really look with a sharp eye, we can correct the imbalances. We can rise above, find the beauty and elevate the vibration within to radiate. We need more of this kind of attention to detail. Would you agree?

Welcome home 🙏🏻 The year ahead is filled with so much hope and prediction. If you believe in #love, #numerology is a language that can decode secrets to successful relationships. If you find #astrology intriguing, there is much emphasis on water and #pisces as we weather 2022. And if your jam is more of a #tarot card interpretation, the #alchemist, otherwise known as the magician, shows up for 2022. What does this all mean??? I believe this is a year of deep healing, responsibilities, and relationships. DM me to learn how we can work together more to support your year ahead 🙏🏻 Pants by @nanceromance.to #namaste #loveismyreligion #yogabodii #yogabodiilifestyle #yogabodiiforeverybodii #yogaforlife #yogaforbeginners #yogaforathletes #yogaforhealing #yogaforhealth #yogaforhealthyaging #yogatherapy #iyengarmethod #iyengaryogateacher

Find your space. Covid is filled with bite sized, special private moments. You have to dig deeper. You have to search wider. You have to choose wisely. But you will find your space. There you can regroup, recalibrate, find solace and intimacy. A healing journey… a tiny bit graphic⚠️ This is what 3.5 weeks of muscle stimulation, cold compression therapy and basic yoga foundational techniques look like. The bruising and swelling were significant and deep but I am seeing change daily. Corrective surgery comes with side effects too. Scar tissue, risk of infection, and postural disruption… or awakening. What I am so certain of is the yoga from within is now ready to take on a more physical momentum. This discipline and skill set is the best I have known to help heal, nurture, and feel whole, complete, and able. Healing the body, mind, and soul is all part of any yoga practice. It just can’t be helped… even if you are only seeking a physical relationship with yoga, it too comes with side effects. A clearer mind, a nurtured soul, and of course, less aches and pains. Another reset. In a traditional time of recharging. Perhaps purging or even shedding. Find the rainbows. Look to the light. Create space within and without. I’m here to help🙏🏻 #yogapants by @nanceromance.to #yogabodii #yogabodiilifestyle #yogabodiiforeverybodii

Often I get asked about a #homepractice. What do I practice? What should one practice? How long to practice? How frequently? All excellent and intellectual questions. As much as yoga is a #science there is an #art to learning how to listen to your body. Once my teacher encouraged me to allow my body to write my sequence. See what actions fuel your soul and power your heart. Sometimes I take this approach to creating a comprehensive sequence. It’s just like telling a good story or singing a song…Then the practice begins. #namaste #yogis #yogateacher #yogamom #iyengarmethod #iyengaryogateacher #kurunta #adhomukhavrksasana #handstand #invert #yogaisart #yogaisscience
