POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Over the last few years, I’ve dipped my toe into combining two of my great loves: yoga and positive psychology. This is the next stage, the evolution and expansion of the small offerings I've provided at Yoga Habit. It is six weeks of yoga, mindfulness, specific tools, habit formation, and most of all community. And I could not be more excited.

Join us for The Practice: 6 Weeks of Expansion at Yoga Habit.

We named it the Practice because it is not perfect. It is something you do over and over - there is no end point. But what you can expect from these six weeks is space. Space to share, space to reflect, space to grow. During the six weeks we'll also provide check-ins and all sorts of resources to expand and explore.

We'll gather Thursday nights, 7:30 to 9:00 pm at Yoga Habit in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia. To learn more visit https://www.yogahabit.com/events/the-practice-6-weeks-of-expansion. (If you're not already a member, you can add unlimited yoga for six weeks as well.)

Happy to share more, please reach out!

yes, you read that right…i’m continuing my 300 hr yoga teacher training. somehow, the girl who started practicing yoga in 2013, started teaching in 2023, and kept saying “i’ll do my 300 hr eventually” is actually doing the damn thing.

so here we are…another chapter, another season of learning, and another excuse to spend even more time on a yoga mat.

i’m kicking things off next weekend with @_marielfreeman_ and @alexholmesyoga’s advanced teaching and methodology training at @threequeensyoga. i genuinely couldn’t be more excited to learn from them and keep growing as a teacher.

so grateful for every teacher who has continued to pour into me through classes, workshops, trainings, retreats and conversations. you all shaped the teacher i’m becoming.

philly teacher friends, i want you in the room with me. this training is open to all teachers of any style. if you’ve been thinking about deepening your teaching, expanding your sequencing, refining your alignment cues, or just want to nerd out about yoga, this is your sign. come join me and use code KP150 for $150 off when you register.

see you on the mat.

What has stayed the same for me after teaching and assisting in my yoga classes for over a decade:

1. Yoga assisting is a dialogue - the body will tell you. And you can talk to the person you’re assisting

2. It’s about pressure and direction - both matter!

3. People like the good version of things. be responsible and be present in real time to be of service to those you are assisting.

AND there is no shortcut or hack or AI prompt that will help you get better without actual practice!

Come join me for my workshop @yogahabit tomorrow on Saturday, Oct 12, 2-5pm

The beauty of KG Strong in full effect with this week's Bok Rooftop Yoga and Fitness Schedule.

Saturday - 10:30am - Colleen Kropp

Colleen is an OG KG Strong member and instructor who teaches a balanced, thoughtful and challenging mat Pilates class. You can often find her teaching at The Balance Room.
Oh and it's HER BIRTHDAY!!

Tuesday - 6:30pm - Jung Kim.
Jung Kim is a yoga instructor who leads teacher trainings at Yoga habit and has been teaching all over the city for years. She's been KG Strong adjacent for a long time and we can't wait to welcome her.

We are supporting El Comite which "centers the experiences of immigrant workers and their peer-to-peer organizing. We are not invisible and we fight for jobs that are safe, fair and non-discriminatory. Workers deserve it all!"

In addition to being a great, local organization it was founded by one of our amazing members Carly Pourzand.

We are so glad to be partnering with this dream team and we hope to see you there!

Tickets at link in bio and at Bok Bar.

*bar is open after both classes... So plan on a birthday mimosa with Colleen!

Happy July 1 - summer feels officially in full swing. I am overdue posting about my epic month of May, including connection, travel, anniversaries, and celebrations... mostly because the connecting and hosting and worldwide convening as continued. But better late than never... check out the link in bio.

Connecting isn't easy - building community can feel "inconvenient." Here are just a few ways I'm doing what I can to come together.
